When I play LA on max settings, my frames just absolutely gets destroyed my god..
I kinda want to play CoP again because of LA, is there any mods that I guess adds new content to the game? Changes all the gun sounds and models?

Scared the living fuck out of me, it came from the house with the creepy portrait too, doesn't help that the ambient music stopped playing either.

Personally I'd go with a basic A.I / A-Life overhaul like M.S.O+AtmosFear 3 or Pripyat Reborn, which already has AtmosFear included (but may need Absolute Nature Packs) but if you want to jump into content mods right away, I'd go with SGM. If you're tempted to try Misery, try first with Misery 1.2 before going into 2.1.
Valley of Whispers is also a pretty decent mod, it's a total conversion with a new story that takes place in a completely new map that's actually a rather well-done level.

do you mean that black metal dude portrait? i'm actually thinking that's a minor easter egg left in by a mapper
Shame for LA, waiting for so long for it, now can't play it, crashing like crazy with those bone bugs
So disabling SSAO, grass shadows, and sun shadows (or something like that) fixed my frames problem and I can run everything else on max, Anti-aliasing included with DX10.
Doesn't look much different, and plays great. Nice.

With so much time developing you would think they would have at least a basic playable build
So far I haven't run into many issues. I occasionally get the bone bug crash, and I recently got a P90 related crash trying to get to Yanov, but that's it.
You guys realize this isn't a final build right? They even said it's early access due to the "April Fools" leak, and in the development process extensive bug fixing comes after you have all the features you want in. Considering the game is not even finished feature-wise I can't bring myself to curse the devs for a few bugs that I can work around. It's very playable as-is and I'm having a blast.

Anti-aliasing doesn't seem to do anything, everything still has incredibly jagged edges.
The source code is super interesting, I'm working on getting it to compile right now :)
AA in stalker has never done anything unless you're on static lighting
deferred shading etc

Alright, guys, for those getting the P90 crash in the [B]Construction site[/B], do the following:
-download the rar in [url]http://www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&thm_page=1&thm_id=22408&sec_id=19&offset=-120[/url]
-make a folder in gamedata called "meshes"
-make a folder in meshes called "weapons"
-make two folders in weapons, called "ammo" and "p90"
-extract the .ogf files into each folder accordingly. Can't miss it.
So how are we supposed to finish the lab part? I took everything that shithole had to offer.
