So is modding gear completely broken right now, or just for some people? Or is it just with Fox?

I'd expect a lot of people already have it and have it in all sorts of places by now.

Loads of people have it already saved multiple times to their HDD. It's pretty stupid to take legal action for each and every person who's going to use this. I'd rather see sergei taking the stick out of his ass and say:"Do what you want with the Xray" and make it open-source
So anybody have any ideas why the game won't save (manual or autosave), and when I try to load a game right after saving nothing shows up? While having to restart entirely from the beginning adds some more drama to the experience, it's pretty annoying, especially when I die from some stupid mistake.
Also my video settings (resolution/dx10/etc) won't save either.

You don't have ownership on Stalker folder, something like that, right click on it and edit permissions
Man Lost Alpha is so freaking awesome. And that model pack from earlier? Makes it way better so I don't have to look at the hideous default cubic models. It's just great.
I haven't played a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game in years, and wow Lost Alpha is amazing.
Too bad my performance is ass, like always. Damn xray engine.

Why not just upload them online? I can't imagine you'll get in trouble.

F3 is spawn menu, F2 is other stuff + teleport menu
errr so far lost alpha is AWESOME but why i cant choose any weapons but my main one on the Repair menu?

Further down in that same file you mentioned second is another section that is commented out, sadly it still doesn't work.

Anyone happen to screenshot the vehicle controls menu? It only popped up once and I can't find the information anywhere. I don't remember how to store loot in my truck.

LA does ammo weirdly. I was sorting my ammo out and I watched it go from 300 to 215. Wtf game, I want my bullets back. The AI is brain dead too...

nope nope nope.
oh I also found a workaround for people crashing when running into rats
if your game crashes upon loading a save with that foot bone error, just set your switch_distance in alife.ltx to 0 and leave the level if you can, quit, and set it back. a bit of a shitty workaround, but it works.
LA just pulled it's last straw. I'm going to stay away from it until a few patches come out.

Please tell me if you can get it to compile. It seems to be missing a fair bit of dependencies
