Probably restrictions in the engine. A lot of LA's maps are at the point where they can hardly add a new static prop without the map compiler crashing.
Aaah. I thought this because Rostok is very heavy on objects and buildings. It's a very nice map and quite spooky at night.
I fixed LA AI, where is my monies? www.epicstalker.com/kjdhadshfadsfklsdfljsd/Lost_Alpha_AI_Tweaks_by_Alundaio_R2.zip
Tried it when I went to complete the X-18 task for Sin. They shot and killed me instantly after wasting 20 minutes crawling through the mines to get there. Sorry, but no monies. I know it was your mod, because I uninstalled it and the game worked just fine.
You need to leave a certain way, up through those spiral stairs like you do in the vanilla game. If you leave another way it won't count.
As I said, it's bugged. I already went back inside and tried to leave through the spiral, still doesn't count. Just tell me where the documents are cause I can't find em
It saddens me that they had to release LA in such a state. What a fucking prick. Jesus, it has to be one of those a one in a million situations.... Hope they manage to fix all crashes and get some deal again with GSC

I mean, how many leaks did SoC have during development? At least 4... And now that someone else from Dezowave leaked the 1.0007 source, I'm pretty sure Sergei is working to sue the pants off them.
Lost Alpha is ehh. It was great until I stole the documents from the military base. Not a single crash and minor glitches. Then once I was going to the next level (the great metal factory?) it crashed trying to load it. After that, I tried to play from my last save and try again and the game was super stuttery and crashed every few minutes. Weird stuff yo.

I am so excited to play this but I wont touch it until it is at least as stable as vanilla (for whatever that's worth). Is it me or does it seem like it will take a year's worth of patching to make the game completely playable? From what some you guys are saying, there are more problems than there is gameplay.

Probably just had the most fun experience with this mod so far. I needed to get back to the Bar to drop off the [sp]X-18 documents[/sp] to [sp]Petrenko[/sp] and also [sp]get his key for the Duty mission in Rostok.[/sp] I was going through Agroprom as night began to fall, taking my car loaded with supplies. Now, getting to the Bar by car is very difficult, as the Garbage is too uneven to drive through. I tried to take it around and up through the construction site. As I am driving over the hill by the railway tunnel, my gas runs out and I have none to replace it. My car slides backwards into a fucking tree, and as the sun went down I could hear packs of dogs converging on my position. I decided to take the Construction Site route since I hadn't been through that way before. Night finally settled, so I rant through the place in the dark. I passed by a camp of mercenaries, but they were friendly as long as I kept my distance. I didn't disturb them and I just kept on running. I got to the Factory without issue. But on the winding road up to the factory, I hear a familiar bloodcurdling howl. Fucking bloodsuckers. I could hear at least 2, if not more. I ran for my life, hoofing down energy drinks like a 13 year old kid binging on an all-nighter. I tore through the packs of zombies and crossed under the bridge, and finally lost the bloodsuckers.
Not my fault they designed half their quests around a broken enemy callback.
I don't see how it is broken though. If you shoot them, they shoot back. The sin guys at the cordon tell you if you come back they will kill you.
The quest he mentioned or LA's AI?
Lost Alpha's AI. People seem to have different experiences with AI every time though.

Anyone happen to know my fix?
Damnit. I feel like I have to come back to this thread a few years from now when Lost Alpha isn't Lost Alpha and download all the official patches and mods for the game. I'm just not ready to play through it for the very first time without it being complete. But not like 2009 Complete. I won't spoil it for myself just yet. So hurry up on those mods FFS! :-)
Okay it was the bar it crashes at. Anyone happen to know my fix?
Are you using static lighting? That tends to crash the game when entering the bar area
So for the 5'th time, where are the documents in the Agropom base
So for the 5'th time, where are the documents in the Agropom base
should be second floor on the west end of the building. Also, has anyone tried downloading anything to the PDA? I've installed the download module to my PDA but I don't know how to download things from computers.
Can't figure out for the life of me how to open the trunk of a vehicle.
does anyone know when any stability patches will come out?
does anyone know when any stability patches will come out?
well dez says there's a patch coming out tomorrow so that should help

Is it just me or are others compeltely missing the SOUNDS folder in their gamedata? Can't sleep, because of this crash.
I'm in Agroprom. Kinda stuck but I know what I'm looking for now. Does anyone else just keep the zombies alive as company? I mean I'll mow em down if they get in the way, but it feels so much scarier and emptier when they are gone. I still got like 4 running around, keeping me company.
I let them shamble about. They're pretty harmless unless you just don't pay attention to them.
Those things make noises that make it harder to locate any potential threats so luring them to anomalies and letting those do the work saves ammunition.
I like to try knifing the zombies, but they're pretty proficient at melee. It's just getting into range that they suck terribly at, with their wandering about.
Zombies are probably most difficult in tight spots if you don't have a good crowd controller. I've had the TOZ usually oneshot most critters, though a good shot an assault rifle can hit mutant weakspots just as well. Also, how many of you were able to refuel your cars? The 25L oil drum doesn't work on the Lada, and I couldn't bother dragging a canister from Cordon to Bar. It'd be nice if they rebalanced fuel consumption along with some other gripes like understrength shotguns and idle AI not reacting.
[sp]Tetris in X18 crashes my game :([/sp] [editline]2nd May 2014[/editline] Also the "Download to PDA" button doesn't work, any fix floating around for that?
