I do not get your expression, what do you mean? In the sense of L.U.R.K being the more hardcore one?
Playing LURK is like applying a thick layer of vaseline over your eyes
Playing LURK is like applying a thick layer of vaseline over your eyes
I would certainly assume that you mean that as a bad thing. Also, how does L.U.R.K compare to soup in difficulty specifically? what are some of the hardest mods out there? is Soup the hardest?
You will have to hope Dez0wave fixes the AI, I told them the issue and we will see if they take my advice (doubtful. :downs:)
Your xr_logic and the patch's xr_logic are identical. So yeah?
Lost Alpha made me really want to play Redux. And Dooms freeplay mod for ShoC.

Also, how does L.U.R.K compare to soup in difficulty specifically? what are some of the hardest mods out there? is Soup the hardest?
LURK 1.1 has a retarded shader which distorts and visually fucks up what the player can see, effectively blurring out all the models and textures. As for the difficulty... it has some contrasts. Namely, the equipment degradation and NPC combat. While the NPCs aren't overly more advanced in their detection methods(as a matter of fact LURK 1.1 is the only version in which you can sneak through the Army Base in Cordon and Agroprom), their accuracy is INCREDIBLY HUGE. And by INCREDIBLY HUGE, I mean that there is a slight chance that a rookie bandit with a Tokarev might headshot you in rapid fire from the other side of the Garbage. In the middle of the night. With his eyes closed. And he'll tear up ~25% of your sunrise suit, too.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/lost-alpha/downloads/stalker-lost-alpha-v130013-patch they fixed the painful reverb. thank fucking god
What is your OS and where are you installing the mod? Are you installing the third party applications in the third party folder, too?
Okay lets take it from step one, uninstalled the old install, doing a new fresh one. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, installed to my documents folder because I heard Program Files gives you some issues. When I try to start it up, it says I'm missing fsgame.ltx. I'm assuming I have to copy over fsgame.ltx from one of the STALKER games? Which game?
Thanks chrome for fucking up while downloading AA2.

the contacts screen still crashes for me at times, even with the patch. anyone else getting this?
What the hell does he need all these cat heads for?!
100ru profit man :v:
100ru profit man :v:
Dude, the RPG I found in [sp]The Bar's leftovers[/sp] netted me a far larger profit! As much as I like some easy peasy runs, fueling a guy's cat fetish is just ridiculous. In other news, I came across a graphical error after installing the newest patch(though it's probably been around for longer). With the sun shadows turned on these huge beams of light just randomly flickers into existence from random map spots, often flickering the other shadows along with them. Anyone knows how to fix it?
Try disabling sunshafts and see if it happens again.
It turns out to be a rare shader issue for the R3 shaders.
Did you install the 3rd party applications too? Try setting administrative privileges in compatibility for XR_3DA.exe in lost alpha/bin
I've installed all 3rd party applications, I'm still getting a problem with fsgame.ltx. Does it matter where I extract DirectX June 2010 SDK?
Any way to avoid downloading soup in parts but instead as a whole?
Anyone got any fixes for CNPP in LA yet?
Anyone got any fixes for CNPP in LA yet?
What fixes do you need for that?
The patch broke my game even further. Back when the game was still 1.3.0000, only my keybindings didn't save after a new game, now the game doesn't even want to save my graphics settings :v: . Quicksaves are still fucked as ever. [del]Can anybody tell if the patch at least fixed the Borov safe crash ? Wouldn't want to waste another 4 hours into playing the game to have my game crash at a mandatory sequence for progressing the plot again.[/del] The stand-alone ui_safe script fix apparently works for the beta at least so that shouldn't be a problem.
What fixes do you need for that?
Quest for restoring power isn't triggering properly when you get the item you need.
Quest for restoring power isn't triggering properly when you get the item you need.
Did you install the patch? It should fix it. If you did, restart from the beginning of the CNPP (when you enter the sarcophagus). [editline]3rd May 2014[/editline] Reading Roadside Picnic, I think it's just the translation, but some things may seem weird out of context: "Ernest knows his stuff. His trained eye recognizes a stalker returned from the Zone with swag and he knows what a stalker needs after a visit to the Zone. Good old Ernie. A humanitarian."
but the garbage is pretty much the old build garbage, and really the main difference is that the road going north and south is longer than vanilla
Expression : _valid( bi.mTransform ) Function : CKinematics::CLBone File : ..\xrRender\SkeletonRigid.cpp Line : 157 Description : callback kils bone matrix bone: front_gun_tower
Super sad that I can't get past the Dark Valley caves. As soon as I round the corner I hear the sound of objective completed and get that error. I've uninstalled, restinalled, and tried patch applied and without. I've switched the renderer from r1 to r3 just to see. I've tried with my gun out and without a gun out, as well as pistol and no weapons at all. I've tried switching outfits as well. Loading a much earlier save and going all the way back also didn't seem to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas? Specifically I tried the patch at gamefront from the moddb link: 1.30013.zip
Did you install the patch? It should fix it. If you did, restart from the beginning of the CNPP (when you enter the sarcophagus).
I read through the patch and it mentions nothing towards fixing anything late game, reason why I asked for fixes.
but it's still really boring in some areas..
That has to do more with the fact that there's no A-Life to keep it interesting, which makes the levels nothing but empty air between the missions.
If I go the sleep the game crashes.
Files that control the probabilities of dreams are some .ltx files at : gamedata\config\lost_alpha\sleeping And dream.script at a filepath gamedata\scripts Modifying them (or anything) yourself is pretty risky unless you make save backups, but from quick looking around in the files, it would seem that it's possible to have an effect on the probability of dreams from modifying those files.
Anyone know a command or anything that disables or resets your need to sleep? I can't play this game no more, because I can't sleep. If I go the sleep the game crashes.
