I'm stuck in the Bar, there is a stalker blocking one of the doorways because he is stuck on the door itself. Is there some way to remove the stalker?

A knife.
I knifed a stalker in LA's Bar, once. The game immediately crashed.
A knife.
I ended up doing just this.
Minor spoilers:

Im surprised that your crash didn't crash...
Umm. Somebody just spoiled LA's good ending.
How is this real
I now firmly believe that Dezowave is secretly a group of heavily stoned 70s musicians

seriously though, that ending is so fucking hilarious and out of place. the leak version is even funnier since it has [sp]a rainbow and pan flute music[/sp] accompanying it

What an oddly convenient fire.
I don't really play STALKER anymore, but I figured you guys would enjoy this article.

So LA has kinda worn on me, it's buggy as fuck, it's cheesy as all hell, and it's nothing really that new.
But I'm in a STALKER mood now, I want STALKER.
I'm looking for a mod that gives me freedom I guess.
-Roaming groups of Stalkers, Bandits, Military, Duty, Freedom, Mercs, etc.
-Faction Warfare.
-Food/water/sleep.
-Sleeping Bags.
-All the maps from CoP, SoC, CS.
-Modifications to weapons.
-Lots of quests.
Anything like that about?
It's not out yet, but Call of Chernobyl sounds like it will be at least part of what you want
It's funny, I was coming into LA expecting something like the experience of playing a russian mod but without a horrible translation or stupid things, like using models from Left 4 Dead for stalkers.
What we got was more subtle, and yet just as stupid.
TBH I would've preferred if there were out of place models and that was the extent of the stupidity.
Hey at least it's in english so you can understand why it's so shit.
I am still enjoying it but I feel the main saving grace of this is going to be mods for it. Also oh my fucking god are you fucking kidding me

I'll bet he was their writer too

Same boat, but now I just want something ridiculous with tons of guns. And fuck Shadow of Chernobyl, done it enough times. Time to start hunting.
I'm actually kind of considering misery myself after I beat LA just to experience this trainwreck of a story firsthand, though I'm offput by two things - 1 being the artificial difficulty, and 2 being the lack of Merge patches for weapons mods
I want a mosin but I do not want to use this...thing
[t]http://puu.sh/6dSIj.png[/t]
Maybe I should try the current version of CS 2014 again and stomach the bugs
Also I want a mod that adds more cover and trees and shit to Zaton and Jupiter
this would be cool as fuck

These guys make me both angry and make me laugh very hard with some of the replies they give.
Just look at what TS says
Lost Alpha is a Game that has been released before it was ready to be
released due to the earlier build leak. There is so much new material
and things added to the current version that were not even a part of
any other build or have been tested in any way. Now everyone can
experience the joys of Testing. For this reason there is much work
still to be done and Dez0wave is fully responsible for fixing things.
While it is appreciated the eagerness and willingness to assist
in community fixes, everyone providing them or using them
should be aware that their use may possibly interfere or
conflict with existing or future patches. The one thing
we want to avoid are community patches to fix
earlier community patches because the use
of an authorized Patch didn't work due
to the use of an earlier community
patch. Thanks for your support
and understanding on this.
TS
They wouldn't have been able to patch it without community. The bugs that were fixed were even in the 9 month old leaked build. He considers everyone a tester. Also, if nobody was testing the build between HUGE updates then the project was poorly managed and it's no wonder it took this long. Why the hell would they authorize a build with untested community patch, anyway? We all joked on French forum that the first time the build was put together was in person at stalker event. I think it may actually be true, lol.

Vintar was/is a "game designer", whatever that would mean for a mod, also listed as "scripter" on dezowave.com, so he might very well be responsible for some of the cutscenes.
How be Doom's mod merge? I'm looking for freeplay and general fuckery.
I might do a classic Elder-Scrolls-Esq "try to kill every living NPC" run.
Is it just me, or does the stop at the Bar completely fucks up the flow of the game?
Why the fuck does this game have a driving level?! Who thought that was a good idea?
Why the fuck does this game have a driving level?! Who thought that was a good idea?
LA?
[sp]You drive a BTR later for a whole of ten seconds. My general feel for LA was a roller coaster from "Wow, this might be fun" at the start, to "what fucking vodka-child's doodlemod did I just play."[/sp]

I feel like I'm the only one who didn't find cars in LA dreadful. Cars are far, far better than what I've seen before in Stalker mods, still pretty bad in terms of handling and stuff, but at least you can actually drive them. The only big complaint I have about having to drive cars in LA is apparently automatic transmission on old soviet cars, which makes for a very hard speed-control. Other than that, they neatly stick to the surface, turn accurately enough, I'm not expecting much from old rusty pieces of junk :v:

I have to say that the driving model is very accurate. The cars feel heavy, turn like bricks, and genuinely fare well for leftovers from Chernobyl, aside from a Lada Niva with a broken fuel tank and a lack of a trunk I found outside the Scorcher installation.
My favorite has to be the UAZ-468, though. Sturdy, rough, simply designed, doesn't have a roof, stands undamaged by trivial firearms, and boy do anomalies do nothing against that bad boy. It's a shame the whole thing looks and feels like a hollow tin can with an engine and wheels attached to it.
I disagree.
@about LA: I think a big issue was they went through a handful of scripters/coders during that time.
That's what Dez said, take from it what you will.
By the way mate, Tejas is getting pissed off with you on GSC apparently - it seems like Don Reba is going to ban you if you keep doing whatever you're doing?

My car hit a bump and floated into the sky...
Also, [sp]X-18 is just terrible, it's a maze, it's mess. This is probably the end of my LA journey, I'm not having fun. [/sp]
Meanwhile Frozen Zone now has an MP-412.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/C9RbyJX.jpg[/t]
So Chernobyl's a really cool area, incidentally when I first came here my STALKER ambience playlist began to play the soundtrack from Tarkovsky's Stalker. I find it easy to overcome the silliness of LA with the fact that all these huge and beautiful areas exist, still new and unexplored to most of us!

[t]http://i.imgur.com/bWgaFXW.jpg[/t]
So is Frozen Zone gonna be the new LA now? The mod that appears to be of really high quality that a lot of people will be waiting for and it'll most likely take years to complete and be released?

If I recall correctly, Beacon is trying to do that with CoP: Redux V2.0. Waiting patiently for that!
