Russian mods always seem so out of place, not like its a bad thing, I just never understand why.
Anyone have a link for SGM 2.1?
I hope there's an all-in-one of sorts, because by the looks of it you gotta get to the merging a lot of shit: http://www.moddb.com/members/davidme Look for SGM 2.1.
Yeah, I tried a few links off google, including moddb, but if nobody has a full version I will check that again
stalker alpha builds fever dreamz the rats just went ahead and dug into poor ol' m_bloodsucker_e's corpse
Welp, I tried to just swap gamedata folders to go from the Soup to Doom's Mod Merge. I should have known that wouldn't work. :v: Now I'm getting a crash in the Wild Territories in the Soup, seems to happen around where you'd shoot the merc up in his tower on the way in: Expression : fatal error Function : CScriptEngine::lua_error File : E:\stalker\sources\trunk\xr_3da\xrGame\script_engine.cpp Line : 73 Description : <no expression> Arguments : LUA error: ...e.r. shadow of chernobyl\gamedata\scripts\amk.script:922: C stack overflow

Stalker is a FPSRPG lol.
Vintar may be really defensive about Lost Alpha but the guy complaining has pretty bad arguments backing up his case. The Duty PDAs thing is something of a sidequest, those never really have been very well explained in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series nor is there anything really wrong about the Yantar wiring quest, it's pretty standard quest in terms of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tbh.
Entering a Soviet Underground facility full of monsters to get wires for your futuristic PDA? Bullshit!
This is pretty much in line with the SoC quests at Yantar when Sakharov asks you to retrieve shit off of X-16 in exchange of some paltry shit. Yeah, it maybe isn't reel life enough, but it's not exactly out of the line of missions that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has already established thus far. The [sp]Illuminati shit[/sp] ? That's pretty heinous writing. Everything else is generally in line with the actual S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games in terms of quality so far as I've played (I'm in Dead City now). Which is not to say that it's good either, there's some pretty Deviantart-tier stuff like the Bloodsucker King in there and the origin of Bloodsuckers which I desperately want to get out of my head but can't, but it's not particularly bad in comparison with the rest of the series either.
This is pretty much in line with the SoC quests at Yantar when Sakharov asks you to retrieve shit off of X-16 in exchange of some paltry shit. The X16 line is about shutting down the Brain, recovering anti-psi equipment left on Ghost and Vasiliev, as well as picking up additional calibrations and documentations which elaborate on what you're supposed to do to turn off the Brain Scorcher. Meanwhile the PDA recovery questline is designed to have you run around in a circle, collecting a line of copper wiring inside the storage room of an infested and abandoned tunnel network, a circuit board from your friend, a swamp doctor, and attempting to steal a Crystal by outright murdering the entire Merc encampment in AW. Now, the issue with LA's questline is that not only was it essentially a fetch quest designed to achieve nothing[sp]but have you in close proximity to the Bar, as the data you unlock is effectively worthless.[/sp] , but the thing could have been planned and performed much better. Instead of having the wiring placed on a specific shelf in the same map why not ask around on where to find it or who to buy it from? Why are the boards in possession of Doctor, a character which isn't even working in that field? Why do we have to kill Mad-dog's goons and pry the artifact out of his cold, dead hands instead of going artifact hunting? Why did they not utilize the quest as their version of the "Find Guide" questline?! I'm not saying that it's the worst part of the mod, but boy was it an unimaginative and pointless quest.
I want to start up Clear Sky. I never really got into it. What are "must-have" mods for it? I remember there being a couple total conversions for the original game that made it incredible.
I bought a UE4 licence yesterday and I've been doing some messing around with STALKER models in it today. Amazingly, they import fairly easily. They don't look great so far, but I'm probably missing something. Screenshots later probably.
I love the marsh radio in CS. It's so fucking chill and really fits the mood.
What is the name of ambient track in Stalkersoup on the marshes?
First time I've stumbled into this anomaly in LA, it can be pretty dangerous, apparently

Yeah, another thing STALKER is lacking is in weird anomalies or some fucked up physics. Thankfully LA adds some of this. And there was this russian mod for CoP that added crazy stuff in order to make the story of the game more believable.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3676303/HighresScreenshot00000.png[/t] very very early little test of STALKER textures and models (the halogen lamp) in UE4 for a little bit of work, it doesn't look half terrible
Why not use my textures, should look way better in UE4?
which ones? wanna hook me up? you're probably right, vanilla's are so low res it's a bit jarring
I wonder if you could use UE4 to port level geometry back and forth. Could allow for some more detailed map redesigns.
how do you get that spawn menu?
Just uncomment those few lines that are commented for f1, f2, f3 http://gsc-game.com/main.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&thm_page=10&thm_id=22821&sec_id=19&page=1#385018
why would you bother? may as well just edit in maya/max and you don't need to convert to .fbx and lose the texturing
why would you bother? may as well just edit in maya/max and you don't need to convert to .fbx and lose the texturing
Because UE4 is the next big thing and gets all the attention going?
Because UE4 is the next big thing and gets all the attention going?
but what benefit would it provide?
which ones? wanna hook me up? you're probably right, vanilla's are so low res it's a bit jarring
PRZ2. I included the textures only in 3 parts, because I dislike having a texture mod with anything else other than the textures :v: Here you go: http://www.moddb.com/mods/photo-realistic-zone-2/downloads
why would you bother? may as well just edit in maya/max and you don't need to convert to .fbx and lose the texturing
Although the models themselves sadly lack a lot, geo wise
He probably should pull his head out of his ass.
He probably should pull his head out of his ass.
And then people wonder why I don't like the guy...
