Wow not Hammer7 posting Frozen Zone content what is this shit
He-he, I wasn't at home so thanks to exostalker for posting the video. Anyway, there is another wizard who decided to develop a coop mod using soProject as a base. Ray of Hope
I. Для разрабов: 1.

I. For devs. 1. Server only scripts. Example - only server can manage A-life. 2. Players graph. Automatically updating. You can get any player at any moment using the script. 3. Hardware ban. Very difficult to avoid. 4. Scripted areas. Example - callback on enter and exit of the object (I have no idea what he's talking about T_T) II. For players. 1. No weapons area. 2. Mutants drops their parts. 3. First-aid room. Just a place where you slowly regenerate hp. 4. Dynamic respawn of items. Working automatically, easy to add new stuff. 5. Statistics and reputation. Sadly only as a graph on a server atm. Dunno how to make it sending to client. 6. Creatures logic (working).
Beta release is next month.
He-he, I wasn't at home so thanks to exostalker for posting the video.
No problem, if I see something like that in my subscription box, I'm definitely not going to ignore it  [editline]19th May 2014[/editline]
Anyway, there is another wizard who decided to develop a coop mod using soProject as a base. Of course, moving between levels is still going to be a huge problem, no matter how advanced this mod gets. But maybe, while using huge LA levels, it could still work out pretty well

Just make it strictly coop and all players must be in the level transition zone in order to travel?

this 2 hour long presentation about AI from Dmitriy Iassenev (aka one of gsc's former main programmers, and he's working on Survarium now) looks really interesting. sadly, i can't understand a word in it
I'm sure you all - as STALKER fans - have read and in some cases, seen personally, more of the damage wrought by the Chernobyl Disaster - than most. But other than a basic understanding of what was thought to have caused it - and the effects it had (to the effect that it was horrific and something to be adverted from happening ever again at all costs) I hadn't really gotten an understanding of what happened. Then I watched this: I'd personally never gotten a sense of the sheer desperation of the efforts after the breach. Its one thing to see images of Pripyat and the surrounding areas today, after years of neglect. It's quite something else to see footage from in and around the CNPP that is quite literally distorted by the radiation. Anyway, the weight of what happened and is still happening there just struck me particularly hard tonight. Going to have to raise a glass tonight in memory to the men and women who fought that man-made disaster .-.
this is what annoys the fuck out of me when i would read all those "hurr durr lol japan fuck you for killing whales" these people are literally dousing themselves in lethal amounts of radiation to contain the spread so that it doesn't fuck the entire world over, and you're getting a little pissy about some fuckin whales that will die out in the next 10,000 years? fuck off.
Has anyone tried to do a STALKER rogue or TTS based game? Would be pretty neat to command a group of army grunts or a patrol of duty soldiers.
Rouge- yes. Look up reactor 3. Not sure what you mean by TTS. I'm working on a game myself in the same vein of Fallout and Stalker, but it's in a very infant state.
Rouge- yes. Look up reactor 3. Not sure what you mean by TTS. I'm working on a game myself in the same vein of Fallout and Stalker, but it's in a very infant state.
Reactor 3's on an indefinite hiatus :saddowns:
O shit you're right, I didn't read his blog post. That's upsetting, it looked really cool too.
So. MISERY's dark mode thing. Excellent concept. STALKER is not the right game for it. Nothing says fun like getting shot at 250m out in near zero visibility. It might be cool mid-late game, with night vision or getting to see the desolation of daytime in a good suit, but it just doesn't work at the start. :v:

I might give it a try once I've beaten the game or something.

In LA, I got this crash after trying to talk to [sp]Colonel Petrenko in the Bar/Great Metal Factory after the bar moved to Chernobyl. He used to be in a warehouse structure Northeast of the bar, but since I turned off the Earthquake machine he moved back into the bar.[/sp] It's here where I get the crash. Any ideas? You a biology student, Furioso?
Sort of! Biochemistry, actually. It's a nice blend of math, science, and physics that always seemed to click with me. I thought this was a pretty nice shot. [t]http://i.imgur.com/TyEmd8G.jpg[/t] [editline]20th May 2014[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/9JdFWlE.jpg[/t] :-

I've just started playing lost alpha. Good grief this opening cut scene is embarrassing, its like it was written by an 8 year old. I hope the rest isn't this bad.
I've just started playing lost alpha. Good grief this opening cut scene is embarrassing, its like it was written by an 8 year old. I hope the rest isn't this bad.
They used the original storyboards.
They used the original storyboards.
I wasn't referring to the graphical style, more the ham-tastic voice acting, and the awful, clearly underdeveloped writing.
I wasn't referring to the graphical style, more the ham-tastic voice acting, and the awful, clearly underdeveloped writing.
You haven't even met with Ol' Yellow Eyes yet, you don't know bad writing.
I've just started playing lost alpha. Good grief this opening cut scene is embarrassing, its like it was written by an 8 year old. I hope the rest isn't this bad.
It only gets worse. Or rather, it gets slightly better for a short while, then it becomes absolutely hor-rib-le. Also most of the cutscenes are in-engine, so enjoy watching them over and over if you ever want to replay those sections. Oh yeah, and if you didn't install the Xvid codecs that came with Lost Alpha, you'll inevitably crash in a cutscene past Yantar. Coincidentally, that cutscene is where the real shitshow regarding Lost Alpha begins. [editline]herp[/editline] The worst cutscenes are in the labs, most cutscenes in the other areas are fine, though they're still thoroughly pointless for the most part.

Like something out of a bad GMod video, seriously. It was ridiculous by itself, but with that going on it completely pulled me out of the game.
So I didn't pay much attention to stalker news when dark souls 2 came out. What's the consensus on Lost Alpha?
