Yep, checked these things numerous times every time i had to reinstall it.

After seeing Lost Alpha I feel like the appeal of the older STALKER builds is lessened a bit. Still good, but I can see why they changed things now.

Heck, it's so iconic that it even still bears your name.
speaking of Doom's merge, the temptation to make a CoP free-play-as-the-faction-of-your-choice mod on the top of Call of Chernobyl is strong
I wish we could merge the best mod aspects of the 3 games. CS with TFW has great faction fighting, CoP is the easiest to actually freeroam in, but SoC has the best areas.

Wow, GSC patched the game today to switch multiplayer from GameSpy (shutting down) to their own servers. Nice one.

Saw this on a /vg/ thread. I guess it's true because I have not vsync forced and I don't get the coil whine I usually get with high frames in the menu.
