I cannot put into words just how happy dynamic puddles make me.
At least they didn't removed objects only dynamic Also, that
- Added new locations with the population and quests.
so ogse still isn't working and i have no idea why. Google returns a bunch of russian shit.
those wet surface reflections are beautiful
why is there absolute shit all in terms of help with installing ogse anywhere? well uh looks like the game just sort of fixed its self nvm then
To be honest, i wanted new version of OGSE than LA
To be honest, i wanted new version of OGSE than LA
After playing LA, I'm certain I wait OGSE even more now. That one won't dissapoint. I just know it. I do.
hello,i'm giving up on stalkersoup for now. It's not that shitty it's or anything - it's realism modifications make the game even less realistic. The already mentioned shotgun accuracy, as in the shotgun is a god tier weapon for almost everything in this mod. I'm not even talking about balancing and immersion. is all just too overly frustrating. Does anyone know this mod? It's apperantly stalkersoup without the bullshit weapon accuracy and is balanced
After playing LA, I'm certain I wait OGSE even more now. That one won't dissapoint. I just know it. I do.
Seems like the OGSE and OLR mods are being polished to levels never seen before in Russian wizardry.
- New version of the "Companions" scheme - it's improved and carefully modified. With a companion, you can now easily and conveniently, without delay, move between locations, ride in the car, and there is a selector of weapon type implemented. Companions are now provided with improved scripting combat intelligence, and better fighting with experience grows.
 Jesus I shouldn't have read that list, now I'm more hyped than when LA was released.
mein gott
That's not even that new. It was a cut engine feature. Many mods for 1.0006 have re-enabled that. (but it's always been buggy)
That's not even that new. It was a cut engine feature. Many mods for 1.0006 have re-enabled that. (but it's always been buggy)
Still, the sheer amount of content is impressive. Very impressive, to say the least
Oh, I'm not saying it's not impressive. It's fucking amazing. I just like to feel smugly superior because I know things you guys don't~ (I'm kidding, of course.)
There's only 1 gripe ... they removed the r1 render. So only beefy PC's will be able to play this :v:
Do be fair, if you are still using DirectX 8 in 2014, what the fuck are you doing?
Does anyone have a good guide for downgrading SoC to 1.004? I have a GoG copy at the moment, can't find my disk and I wanted to try out AMK.
I have been out into "The Zone" and missed a bunch stuff, i would read everything but oh well, over 300 pages :v: Can someone make a quick retrospective of what happend during this 2 last months?
Dynamic. Fucking. Puddles. How in the god damn do these Russian wizards pull it off?
Do be fair, if you are still using DirectX 8 in 2014, what the fuck are you doing?
being poor and not being able to afford better hardware. :saddowns:
http://cheeki.violates.me/images/downgrade.png here ya go
Thanks, I found one for the Steam version, but not for anything else so it only had like 1 step in it. I've been having trouble getting the 1.004 files, since it says "Setup has detected version [Uknown] Installed. This update can only be applied to version [United States]. Is the GoG version World Wide instead? Edit: Neither patch will install. :(

I think there's a guy over in the /vg/ STALKER community working on a freeplay submod for Lost Alpha. He was going through all the maps and adding a lot more A-Life, along with tweaking the maps to suit it.
Lost Alpha suddenly becomes interesting

Functionally, that's probably not much different though.
Do be fair, if you are still using DirectX 8 in 2014, what the fuck are you doing?
I know, I don't, but there's still people out there and on this forum without a decent PC :v:
I know, I don't, but there's still people out there and on this forum without a decent PC :v:
It's been 10 years man; when DX9 became the thing.
Do be fair, if you are still using DirectX 8 in 2014, what the fuck are you doing?
That's what majority of gaming forums are saying about stalker, and yet we all play it. So don't be such an egoist :v:
It's been 10 years man; when DX9 became the thing.
Yeah, but let's be honest, STALKER's DX9/10/11 renderer isn't the most optimised thing in the world. For those of us stuck on laptops, static lighting is typically the only way to get the game to be remotely playable. (besides, static lighting IS actually running under DX9 - It just uses DX8.1 shaders, if I recall correctly. :v:)
I can relate, trying to run Autumn Aurora 2 with some kind of sensible framerate on a 4 year old laptop.
My laptop struggles with stock SoC. It kinda sucks. Then again, I'm on a 6 year old laptop. I'm overdue for an upgrade, and hopefully this summer I'll finally be getting something a bit more recent.
