I don't understand this. Why did SHoC not have like 'built in' sun rays? I swear Dynamic Shaders 2.0 is just a config file to enable them? Either way looks good, just the right amount and not over the top.
Oh yeah, last applicants for PRO STALKER TOURNAMENT OF 360 NOSCOPES are accepted today. If you care.

Which game and is there anything special I need to install? I would love to join.
By the way beac I'm in love with the new reveal, especially tricking enemy factions that you're friendly as long as you maintain your distance. It will help in the areas that are going to be warzones. I think I commented on your mod news post on just about three different websites by now.

SoC, all vanilla.
Again, I'm not really sure if I'm going to be able to join, it all depends on whether or not I'll be able to get on the damn server.
You will.
i honestly can't wait for Redux 2.0 because it looks much more professionalized and rich in content
it looks much more polished than your average kitchen sink mod

ETA on those bloodsucker tits, beac?

Oh, I always wondered if it would be possible to implement effective camouflage in STALKER. Like, depending on what uniform or camo pattern you have, you get a higher chance at not getting spotted.

That would be pretty cool to have, but I don't know how well it would work in the current architecture. You'll have to make a whole load of suits and have settings for them.

AI does have transparency and luminosity thresholds for visibility. Could be relevant
AI does have transparency and luminosity thresholds for visibility. Could be relevant
The problem would be matching it against backgrounds. You could have invisibility I guess though.
Or make an exo so strong that all enemies pretend to not see you.
ok, these people are wizards.
Nope, these guys are beyond wizardry.
These guys...are sorcerers.

Sorcerers are beyond wizard?
Sorcerers are beyond wizard?
Yes.
Wizards do spells and neat visual tricks and vodka.
Sorcerers make magical things happen and control the power that is bears.
Comparing a wizard to a sorcerer is like comparing Poker to Dimuha Ninja.
They're both crazy fucks, but Dimuha Ninja is on a higher dimension of badass motherfucker that Poker cannot comprehend.

About to replay SoC again for the first time in ages. I remember using Oblivion Lost back then, what is the best mod to go with now?

AMK is a very good mod and if you're wondering how it compares to OL, OL is basically a stripped down version of AMK.
Other good mods and their main features :
L.U.R.K
Basically a rebalance mod that also introduces a kind of a large graphics overhaul. All weapon models and animations are redone from scratch and gunplay is extremely deadly on both sides.
Player carry weight is also reduced a great deal and stamina management becomes quite a big deal in this mod.
AMK 1.4.1
Still considered the go-to mod of people who want a more active A-Life, slightly tweaked gunplay and some new features like laying rucksack stashes, blowouts, artifact cooking, mutants cut from the original game, sleeping etc. but don't want to get a huge overhaul that changes everything.
Requires 1.004 version - while a 1.005 patch does exist it's kinda dodgy so it's recommended to just downgrade to 1.004.
R.M.A
Old Storyline restoration mod. It's gameplay wise very close to vanilla but it features some sequences that were cut from the original game like the Darkscape level and Dead City. Certain sequences in the base game are also slightly changed.
Recommendable if you want to go through vanilla again but with a slight twist to it.
Zone of Alienation
Basically a masochism simulator built around the skeleton of AMK, featuring intensive graphics and UI overhaul, lots of new guns added from various arsenal packs, overhauled medkit system and extreme difficulty. Playing AMK or another mod based off of AMK is recommended before diving into this experience.
Requires 1.004 version just like AMK.
Xiani's Freeplay Start / Doom's Mod Merge
Freeplay start is exactly what it promises - it begins with a screen where you get to pick your faction and choose a name for your character and you're then plopped into their base with the Zone open to explore. The story is removed so there are no restrictions on where you can go in the mod, you can choose to either do some small sidequest type missions for your faction or just go about your business. The A-Life is much more active than vanilla in this mod - it's not a strange sight to see Duty wandering in Agroprom or Monolith pouring through Army Warehouses. Doom's Mod Merge is Xiani's mod merged with LURK weapons, some graphical enhancements like the Panoramic mod and other changes like A-Life tweaks and added level changers (?).
Where can you even find AMK anymore? I can only find filefront versions, but I don't trust those to be updated.

Congratulations, bro!
Millenia doesn't disappoint with the visuals, but props to Rehasher for that neat model too.
