I've played the cave twice and that was enough. I just want to get to the good part.

What were your problems with the cave?
When I played it, I only had a bit of trouble with the layout. That was all though.
The anomolies and the layout are my main issues, and snorks and shit fuck me up good too.
Fun times
The original sizes of these are ~2000x3000, felt great working on big stuff :v:
If you want something that stays fairly close to the basics but improves the A-Life a great deal you could try out M.S.O if you haven't already. It goes nicely with AtmosFear 3(+ATP).
If you want more content there's the usual suspect SGM 2.2 which features boatloads of content* like new missions, guns, faction missions, bodyguard system, artifact recipes etc.
*said content kinda varies in quality though
Big + on SGM 2.2, it's a really fun mod. It gets a little buggier as you progress further into the game but it adds so much that you'll have fun for days.
I don't understand this. Why did SHoC not have like 'built in' sun rays? I swear Dynamic Shaders 2.0 is just a config file to enable them? Either way looks good, just the right amount and not over the top.
Because SoC was released before sun rays became popular.

Looks cool otherwise, but how is someone capable of affording a SEVA suit still holding a piece of shit AKS/74U? Surely he could also afford a better rifle? Don't get me wrong, the technical skill is still amazing, just a slight quirk I noticed.

Nice small rifle that performs well.

It's cheap, the ammo is cheap.

That thing is so inaccurate you can only use it in like CQC, there's no reason not to swap it for an AK-74.

Not necessarily shit, but inferior.

that's a stock image by GSC, ask them!

AKS-74u isn't a bad rifle. The only bad thing about it is that it has reduced range and accuracy. The magazine and ammo is going to be the most common thing in the zone so why would you not carry one? Would make magazine and ammo purchases much more affordable allowing him to spend more money on food or maintenance or some other cool thing
Also it has excellent customization and can be modfied for quite a bit of roles.
The trouble about the AKS-74U is it's meant to be a compact AR for commandos, tank crews and the like. Sure it sacrifices range for weight, but it's only meant to be used in CQB.
But in Stalker, 'specially vanilla, all combat is CQB, so to make it worse than the AK-74 they've given it the range and accuracy of plastic bag, and upgrades that do nothing to fix this.
Plus GSC seems to have decided it's the designated shit AR. In an ideal world, it'd be a rare version of the AK-74, lighter but with slightly worse range.
I think it'd make sense to have an AKS-74u, less weight means carrying more artifacts and ammo. And less size for CQB which happens pretty often in stalker.
I'd personally carry an AKS-74 though. Long range and accuracy and still having a foldable stock.

They were not chosen by the zone.
does it stop the game from crashing so much?
That's a funny joke you just made there son
Also, Fallout will never play as smoothly as Stalker, but get J. Sawyer's mod and Project Nevada and the gameplay gets way better.
Also also, I've been playing Swartz's Mod recently, and it's pretty cool but jesus christ the radiation's everywhere and for some reason my screen keeps shaking even though I'm healthy, what's up with that?
Tried installing and playing Fallout: NV yesterday
I... I can't... why are ironsighted weapons so inaccurate and not powerful
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has spoiled me by granting ironsights that can actually hit things and weapons that do damage
Fallout is an RPG.

Never had a problem with NV crashing. So yes? V:v:V

Duty = Dead
Zone = Free
My work is done.
Stinking anarchist.
For a second I thought you had an RK-95. Then I scrolled to the right and was disappointed even more.
I don't know you anymore.
[sp]not that i knew you to begin with[/sp]
When the pseudogiant goes to sleep at night, he checks his closet for Major Degtyarev.
I'm more supportive of Freedom but I still prefer to play as a Loner
factions are for losers
except mercs, mercs rule all

Free as in Freedom.

Monolith will set you free
Freedom is for chumps
Duty shall prevail!
Monolith is the only correct path.

No need to be kind with them, brother.
On the topic of shooting, remember that while their experience might be smaller, they are hardened, physically fit men with little to no physical disabilities or problems, they are in peak condition, while the inhabitants of any nuclear post-apocalypse, since due to little food, physical illness and radiation I don't think they've got the strength to even hold a gun!

They barely have the strength to move the muscles of their faces after all.

Stinking fanatic.
Duty's the best, dead are the rest.
