Valley of Whispers can be merged with Shoker 2.1 although it has one super annoying feature, which is hit markers that appear when you shoot guys and hit them.
I still haven't given the VoW merge a shot but if the merger(s) didn't screw something up real bad then you can still disable the hit markers just like in the plain, unadulterated SWM 2.1. Hit "u", that'll bring up the console, and then ask for the list of available commands (there are two commands for that but they should be given to you right away, "list" and "help" IIRC). The command for disabling/enabling the hit markers is quite obvious, something like "hud.xmarks", so you'll have to type in, say, "hud.xmarks = 0" which will disable them.
Has anyone had input delay problems in CoP? I have a 144 hz monitor, and when I try to play CoP fullscreen with 60 hz mode enabled I get tremendous input lag. If I try to turn it off I get a BSOD, presumably because my graphics card doesn't like > 120 hz. There isn't an option to only run it at 120 hz, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
If you want, you could just set your refresh rate in your graphics settings to 120hz then use vsync or similar to keep it there. Or you could just set it to 60hz and live with the blur. Also you must be rocking a titan to even be thinking about running CoP at anything above 60 fps. Also if there's no 120hz setting in your drivers(i assume nvidia) just go to your resolution settings and click customize. Then disable all fps limits on CoP then enable driver Vsync.

I get a solid 50+ in COP Misery and SGM maxed out on only a 560TI.
Tarkfuckers we meet again... [editline]24th August 2014[/editline]
Basically my game seems locked to 60FPS even though vsync isn't turned on and I have no idea what's causing it. This is the 1st time i've played 1.0006 as i've not played S.T.A.L.K.E.R in a while and i've only just encountered it now. To my knowledge 1.0005 never did this so I have no idea what's going on.
If you're using the steam version, it got updated to force vsync on. Try forcing it off in your gpu settings.
Uhhh. I get a solid 50+ in COP Misery and SGM maxed out on only a 560TI.
Really? i struggle to get above 70fps with my 670 in Misery. Vanilla i can break 90, which works almost as well as 120 but isn't as fluid.
Really? i struggle to get above 70fps with my 670 in Misery. Vanilla i can break 90, which works almost as well as 120 but isn't as fluid.
Yup. Running a Intel I5 760 at 2.8ghz, 8gb of DDR3 1333mhz (if I recall correctly) ram, and a 1GB Nvida 560 TI, on a regular 500gb 7600rpm Western digital Sata Harddrive. FPS with maxed out stalker regardless of a mod gives me a solid 50, it occasionally dips below 40 on some rare instances, but other than that, runs flawless. And that's including WITH Atmosphere.
You should overclock your CPU and GPU. You'd easily hit your framerate cap [editline]24th August 2014[/editline] I used to get a solid 60fps on my GTX 460 with 30% overclock

Holy hell
dezodor 6hours 33mins ago says: Also started to update the downloads section on main site: http://www.pub.dezowave.com/ We are open for ideas. Suggestions so far: - patches - documentation - the game itself fully patched (will try) - older lost alpha versions from 2009, 2011, 2012 - sdk - extras We have around 50gb free space to fill.

I would but I don't really feel comfortable doing so myself. :v:
General rule of thumb: As long as you don't increase the voltage, you can't really break the hardware.
General rule of thumb: As long as you don't increase the voltage, you can't really break the hardware.
Hmm. I always assumed that overclocking hardware would raise energy use and heat output as a consequence as a result of more power.
Is there a mod to ShoC that allows weapon mods? And nothing else. Just vanilla ShoC with weapon mods?
Holy hell
I really hope they would release the SDK so the community can get to work on actual, game-changing mods (and possibly freeplay mods?).
Hmm. I always assumed that overclocking hardware would raise energy use and heat output as a consequence as a result of more power.
It uses more electricity in total and generates more heat, but if you don't increase the voltage then the board doesn't atrophy. Assuming you keep it all at a reasonable temp that is.
Holy hell
I want the SDK now :(

Has anyone got OWR fix for M.S.O?
so is it normal for the squadmembers to shoot eachother by accident on the tunnel approach to Pripyat? game is CoP
Cheeki breeki i v damke
Wow, do you know why?
Something to do with it causing high-end GPUs that were getting framerates in the multiple hundreds to coil whine or something.
Someone didn't do any research before they chose their mod name...
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Redux is re-mastered and improved version of the classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Can't be helped that the aim of the mod is similar to Beac's Redux.
See you soon in the world without no future.
So.. in the world with future??
Sue him get money open a studio make stalker 2
Someone didn't do any research before they chose their mod name...
Oh god, seen it on ap-pro and was kinda sure about it to be another shitty mod like STALKER HD. Welp, the creator is brave enough to make a ModDB page but checking the name availability is actually too much for him.
Just going to advertise my own mod for a change ... Particle Paradise 2.2; Heavy WIP, working on shaders mostly a.t.m. Contrairy to the previous version, this version is all about stability. Yes, I play in a resolution of 3360x1050.
