SMRTR hasn't been updated in ages, so an old link is par for the course. The creator recently resurfaced, I think so who knows - we may well be seeing a new version soon. [editline]4th September 2014[/editline] We won't actually see a new version soon.
Nevermind, actually, I think I'll just get Misery. :v:
could someone upload the arsenal overhaul dx10 scope fix? i dont want to redownload the whole thing just for the optional folder
could someone upload the arsenal overhaul dx10 scope fix? i dont want to redownload the whole thing just for the optional folder
The one for 4:3? Here it is for 4:3, includes DX9 & DX10 copies of scopes. https://www.sendspace.com/file/bcfp1m
Now I wonder, do bandits regenerate?
Neutral characters can heal eachother with medikits in Call of Pripyat. The animation for that is the same as the animation for NPCs looting corpses. The healing works also across factions so it's entirely possible for a Loner stalker to heal a wounded Freedomer or a Dutyer. In addition to that, many stalkers seem to have an innate regeneration ability(or maybe it's tied to NPC_only_items they just use secretly) in that unless they're bleeding, they'll regenerate health very slowly so it's possible for them to recover from a wounded state without any neutral NPC giving them a medkit. Zombies used to always have this innate regen ability in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , maybe it's just now applied to all factions instead just the zombified faction because I've seen wounded stalkers rise out of the ground on their own, without an NPC or me assisting them.

This just in: What could it possibly mean?
I forgot the name of a mod, it's used to make the world more green and you can set it to be autumn and all kinds of stuff. Used it to turn misery not brown. Does anyone know?
Absolute Nature
Absolute Nature
Oh, thanks! That's it.
Damn gunslinger setting a new benchmark for weapon animations in general not just for STALKER. The 'feel' of a weapon in a players hands really dictates how I like the weapon in most cases anyway, I was always disheartened how the AK-74 was held with a really weak grip at the front and his hand seemed to float but now it's gonna be so much more fun.

Especially side-arms, they were never used by me because they just looked and felt horrible.
Oh, thanks! That's it.
Bear in mind that if you're going to use Absolute Nature 3, the "full" version might break some mods so you should check whichever mod you're intending to use it with is compatible with it. Also, if you're trying to use it with Vanilla, it might break your game in Pripyat if you don't use some fix with the Full version, since the full version uses some modified geometry which breaks some NPC pathings. The difference between Absolute Nature 3 Lite and Full is that Full has increased trees and foliage.
weapon animations make or break games for me. i love weighty guns with a solid sense of realism to them.
Is it just me or did Sidorovich run short of AK47 ammunition in Lost Alpha(v1.3003)? At the start he sold me like 3 packs, now nothing. Makes no sense, since he's selling like 4 or 5 AKs. Also quicksaving and loading doesn't seem to fix this, is there anything else I could do? It's basically stopping me from getting the documents from Apogrom institute, so I can proceed to the bar. Besides that, so far Lost Alpha is my favorite, it's just amazing how much they cut and those levels just look beautiful, compared to the vanilla version.
It's basically stopping me from getting the documents from Apogrom institute, so I can proceed to the bar.
Are you looting a lot? Usually it only takes me an hour in a game to get more ammo than I know what to do with unless they purposely don't let you. Especially in SoC, where ammo is literally everywhere and magazines give you that extra bit too.

Especially in SoC, where ammo is literally everywhere and magazines give you that extra bit too.
Well, how am I supposed to kill people who shoot at me with an AK, when I only have pistol ammo left? So far I remember, most enemys I killed(who had an AK) only dropped packs of like 8 or 20 shots. No idea if this comes with Lost Alpha, but I never ran into such problems in CS or CoP. I've read that it depends on the rank you're at, but if that's the case, why does Sidorovich sell a few AKs, without supplying the player with ammunition... I've also tried Henry's fixes for LA, but after adding them I haven't played much yet, but so far I know he tweaked the drops a little, might solve it. Also normally, some of the enemys drop rubles, but the amount of that is just incredibly dumb. There's a 5000 ruble bill and they usually drop that in amounts of 5000, so you end up with 25 million rubles. Fixed that myself though, if anyone's interested, look at the rubles.ltx in gamedata/config/weapons.
So far I remember, most enemys I killed(who had an AK) only dropped packs of like 8 or 20 shots.
Did you also remember to unload their guns ?
Well, how am I supposed to kill people who shoot at me with an AK, when I only have pistol ammo left?
[sp]The battle between the free stalkers and the military[/sp] at the beginning of [sp]the Agroprom level[/sp] (Warning : slight sequence spoilers) is a great source of 5.45x39 ammunition, you shouldn't have any problems with taking on the military with just pistol caliber ammunition though, since the gun damages are more higher in LA than they are in Vanilla SoC, you're not forced to assault the base head-on like you're in SoC and stealth is actually viable in Lost Alpha so you can do the Agroprom mission with just the silenced Makarov if you so wish. [editline]herp[/editline]
but if that's the case, why does Sidorovich sell a few AKs, without supplying the player with ammunition...
To not completely invalidate the earlygame weapons ? The player is being given too many handouts to begin with, it would basically strip away all gear progression if the player was instantly showered in 5.45x39 ammunition because you can make do with the AKS-74 easily well into the mid-lategame.
I try to get to NATO guns immediately. Those filthy Soviet Bloc weapons just don't cut it.
I try to get to NATO guns immediately. Those filthy Soviet Bloc weapons just don't cut it.
vodka ham and makarovs all day long scrub
Did you also remember to unload their guns ?
Yeah, but they usually don't have much. Anyways, I bought myself that SMG, which I used to kill the military in cordon(well, besides their base, near rostock) and looted a few bandits that I've missed to loot. Got myself 345 bullets, should be enough. Also gonna stock up on pistol ammo, just so I'm safe. However I noticed that it's not only the ammunition that sidorovich doesn't restock, he generally doesn't restock any items at all, so I'm currently more trying to get as much bandages and medkits as possible, so I'm talking to every stalker that I find and see if he has some for trade. I just hope it'll be better once I get to barkeep. I've managed to kill the military at aprogrom, finally. Next X-18, though I'm scared. I mean, I played trough SoC and the enemys themselves ain't scary, but the whole atmosphere, with those creepy sounds... :tinfoil:
Woah, that warp anomaly took me 3 years to get through.... How's it going fellow Stalkers? I launched up Redux the other day and remembered why I fell in love with the game. Now that I'm making my way through the series all over again, what other decent mods have been made in the past 3 years?
My harddrive is too small to hold my stalker FRAPS clips, So I made a small compilation.
