Well, I'm just going to wish you guys the best of luck. You've sampled some really amazing talent here and I believe it's not going to go to waste in whatever new project you're going to be working on.
Thanks a lot for the input guys. Will you be updating the L.U.R.K. page on ModDB or will the project be called something else entirely? Wish you all the best, looking forward to seeing this on the UE4.
I'm actually kind of pissed. All those beautiful weapons textured by millenia for LURK we won't see in STALKER? I hope they just release what they had or something. All of mil's weapons got ported to NV too so i feel like we should get them for ShoC
That's sad, I was looking forward to 1.2 I don't know, I don't even care about the weapons models (even though they a smexy), I was more looking forward to the new feature implemented. [sp]But oh god do I want those weapons[/sp] :v:

Anybody got quick cfg tweaks i can to increase enemy spawns, and make bandits hostile? (spawns especially for pripyat) I'm playing with STCoP weapons pack but gameplay wise it's too vanilla, I want something a little more dangerous, but there doesn't seem to be merge patches for it with AI tweak mods.
Perhaps they'll be ported into whatever they're making for UE4. To be honest, the UE4 can make better use. X-ray is a unstable as fuck engine.

(spawns especially for pripyat)[/QUOTE] To increase enemy spawns you'd have to edit all.spawn(not simple) but to turn bandits hostile you could just edit game_relations.ltx assuming you have access to the config files. If it doesn't then it might be compatible with mods like Pripyat Reborn / M.S.O. without any specific merge patches. I have no experience with STCoP weapons pack, so don't take my word for it but I just mean that logically speaking if all the mod does is change the existing weapon models / animations, it [I]should[/I] be compatible with simple A.I / A-Life mods.
CoP doesn't require editing all.spawn to change spawn rates, it's all in the configs/scripts/level/smart folder also sorry to hear about L.U.R.K., but it's exciting to see talented Stalker modders going to UE4 like I want to do. Kinda wish I was helping out with that.
I wish I had continued with my 3D modeling course. I'd be modeling pripyat in HD with ease by now if I did :(

And it has it's own attachment system for scopes that works differently from vanilla since it has 3d scopes EDIT: Apparently Arsenal Overhaul has the new arm models too and it has a compat patch for Pripyat Reborn. Does anybody have a working download for Pripyat Reborn 1.01b? That's what the compat is for but I can't find one that still exists.

Well this whole lurk thing is kinda disappointing. Like I said earlier, STALKER things not on xray just don't feel like stalker.

It always bugged me how I'd be using an exo and I still had leather jacket arms.

I just want the Brothers in Arms commanding system implemented into STALKER...imagine giving orders to some rookies over at the car park.
Makes me wonder why they didn't add that into CS with all the moments it would've been amazing in, considering it had faction wars. Storming the car park against the Military, the Limansk Bridge, all of Limansk, taking the enemy bases, etc.. Really would've been dope to tell individual stalkers or a group where to go and what to do, like provide covering fire or moving up closer to the enemy. Would be even better if they had a finger pointing animation to go with it.

Doable, but ridiculous. I'll be able to get a lot more done. But what 123the said is spot-on. If we tried to clone the feel of Stalker, we'd fail. We are all playing these games seven years later because there is something magical about it that can't be articulated or replicated. Anyway, stay tuned in October for some videos and tutorials. I spent too much time figuring out audio stuff in Stalker to not share what I learned with the community.
Fuck, CoP needs wider trees or something. Zaton and Jupiter with the exception of a few areas really don't do well for firefights because of the severe lack of cover and options. ShoC maps have a ton of it and they allow for a lot of flanking but aside from Pripyat and a few locations a lot of times while wondering if you get into a human encounter it doesn't last long either way.
I really do like the idea of S.T.A.L.K.E.R but the shooting is keeping me at bay from it. I've installed the "Complete 2009" Mod for SoC, which helped a bit. But still can't get all that interested. Do you just really need to "get into it" to enjoy this game?
