doesn't the beretta have a slide release right near the thumb? Why not just push that down, to get the slide to go forward, instead of pulling on the hinges at the back to recock the slide to make it go forward?
Because vanilla STALKER animations.

I dont know what you mean by hinges, but pulling the slide back and using the slide catch are both acceptable to do on a empty reload
Another irrelevant question from the new guy :
I'm having a hard time using scopes. I've got the arsenal overhaul installed, so I'm not sure if this is what's doing it. The cross hair in any scope I use in the lower half of my sights, yet when I shoot, it seems to hit in the top area of my sight. Is there away to adjust this?
Edit : This is in CoP.
Have you installed the 4x3 scopes fix from the optionals folder included with the mod?

Why don't devs just make use of the 16:9 texture allocation in the scopes.xml file? That's what I've done in the past, that way you can have 4:3 and 16:9 scopes without having to muck around with files. Retards.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because they're not aware of it. Because, you know, there's practically no documentation for X-Ray and the Stalker games. Rather than being retarded.

It should be just sitting there in the 7zip.

I've been away from Stalker since a few weeks after AA2 got released and heard that the CoP source code has been made publicly available.
What's the actual extent of the implications that this has for CoP modding? The word I have in my head is "massive" but don't even have a fleeting idea what this could actually mean. Stability improvements? Actual engine optimization? Good god, multithreading?

big big things
multithreading, 64 bit support, engine-level changes and fixes, more stability, you name it

seems like Dezowave didn't include all the static meshes in the game/mod so you can't actually really do anything with the SDK right now, oh dear

'Welcome to the Skadovsk'
"Welcome to the Skadovsk, Stalker! Find a table at the bar and get drinking, or pull up a chair by the stove and chat with the locals..."
Inspired by the Metro series and the unfortunately cancelled mod 'The Gritty Zone', we’re trying to give bases in Stalker a more organic, lived-in feel.
We’ve rebuilt the Skadovsk's interior from the ground-up using original and brand new props to create a cosier, more realistic Stalker camp.
wow, that's great. Things like these really improve immersion.
Would a stalker really go through the effort of dragging a whole sofa in the Skadovsk, though?
I would suggest they'd do anything they could to try and improve their comfort levels even slightly - a couch would go a fair way towards that, and would be fairly manageable to do with a pair of Stalkers
I'm getting ideas of missions to escort Stalkers transporting furniture to camps now

You just hire a couple of bandits and lift one from an old house nearby.

Make a secret stash where a bunch of bandits are stocking up semi-radioactive furniture to scrap/sell off as antiques.

wouldn't you? having a comfy place to sit down and chill is important enough in real life, let alone when you're in an irradiated zone full of mutants and weird shit

Honest Sultan's House of Second-Hand Furniture?

"That warm glow you feel from sofa? Is... comfort. Warm glow of comfort."

Man, I can't be arsed. I'd just sleep on the floor.

Well, you know, it's Eastern Europe. Some people are just THAT desperate for discount wares.
If you had to live in that place for some time you too would want a sofa, no matter how tattered.
People go to amazing lengths for comfort.
I know I'd want a sofa
[editline]11th October 2014[/editline]
I walked around the Zone for two days and I certainly needed a sofa afterwards

Awesome, got it working! Thanks!
Put stacks of porn mags and a box of tissues near the sofa.
