on another note, is stalkersoup worthy of playing?
Not at the moment. The NS Joint Pak is leagues better.
Has anyone tried combining both The Armed Zone and Les Miserables for the Misery mod? I've been wondering if it's possible to use Les Miserables for everything but weapons, then let the Armed Zone handle that. Not sure if it'd be a clean merge by just putting TAZ over LM.
Could someone translate this for me please?

It cannot open your file because the texture size must be in power of two.
Thanks bro! Somehow the texture file lost a pixel on each dimension, weird.
Man, I am really enjoying Lost Alpha. The Burer in the lab snuck up on me and it made me yell: "fuck shit!" And my car jumped off my lap and ran away.
for those who are still interested, this is getting an official english translation quite soon

The more the merrier. Hopefully someone can integrate all these levels together at some point for the ultimate STALKER mod.
Are there some interesting new mods for CoP ? Was thinking of playing a MSO+AF3+Shoker merge. Is Shoker good ?
Hi guys,
Long time no see :)
Just dropping a post that Misery got featured on RPS:

Whether we actually are 'the best mod' of course remains open for discussion - but it's still great that (also) thx to us the word about our beloved scene is being so nicely spread.
Cheers to you all!
Misery is a great mod that does add a lot to CoP, but I found that the graphics and difficulty curve is very unwelcoming.
Now I read a lot on how to survive in Misery and that lot, but there are certain things in Misery that just don't make it fun, and a lot of bugs as well. That could just be the X-ray engine, but..
Regardless, what I find a bit tedious is Snorks taking a lot to kill. Then the Psy emission dude(not sure what it's called) that floats around in a Electric ball, is impossible to go near. I have to get somewhere for a mission, and I cannot advance without dying to that ball.
Which is why I've been put on halt for playing CoP lately. Misery just doesn't make sense when it comes to difficulty. Things are either artificially difficult, or they're damn easy.

When in doubt, tweak and edit the ltx files to your liking. You can set immunities and hp values of all mutants.

I have no clue how, and when I ask how, no one gives an answer on which variants or lines to even remotely edit.

i got stalker soc on amazon for 7.50! really excited!
Be sure to make your first playthrough one with the latest ZRP + a graphical mod (SWO 3.1 + Photo realistic zone really compliments SHoC imho, but some prefer the zone less dreaded)
No mods. Only fps caps and fun bugs.

Commentary lines marked with ";" are your friend, they describe pretty well what the lines' purposes are. (:v:)

There is nothing wrong with ZRP but pure vanilla can also be the best Stalker experience.
Nothing beats unpatched CS - the Zone was truly unpredictable.

Well, gamebreaking stuff is sure a no fun. But your typical "average day in the Zone" glitches are priceless.
As long as it doesn't crash the game or prevent your from progressing.
As long as it doesn't crash the game or prevent your from progressing.
Which is not guaranteed in pure vanilla (Also "fun" glitches become boring and annoying over time).
Clear sky is the only game to ever bluescreen my computer
But your typical "average day in the Zone" glitches are priceless.
Didn't Clear Sky 1.0 Vanilla also have Bloodsucker packs spawning in the Garbage ? Those were pretty horrible when you had to also deal with the fact that they were invulnerable unless they cloaked.
Another glitch, I remember from unpatched CS, was that Blowouts would despawn an entire level's NPCs but not spawn them back in like the game is supposed to do, and it made the game unplayable if that happened in an area you hadn't done the story mission yet.

I don't know, I love the SoC glitches like how zombies occasionally "forget" that they're zombies and start running around like normal stalkers, when NPCs fuck up and start aiming at the sky in positions that don't make sense considering they have a spine or when Warrant Officer levitates through the roof into the Arena in the middle of the match, that stuff is pretty cray-cray and is the stuff that gives S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a ton of replay value.
Clear Sky glitches were mostly pretty boring and fatal though, like not being able to switch my ammo type, Clear Sky attack squads refusing to move around at the Swamps or Lefty's group fucking up and not continuing along the mission objectives at Yantar. That shit happens even in SRP and it pisses me the fuck off.
Nevermind, I found them. They're under the folder Items, not in the misc folder under the name Items.ltx
They're individual ltx files.
Also, higher values like 0.2 for resistance than 0.740 or something?
does anyone know a good site or have tabs for the guitar songs played in stalker? i want to practice and i remember stalker songs are always pleasant to listen to.

I wanna play co-op LAN with my brother.
What mod would I use? It can be any STALKER game.
Simple answer, you can't really.
