That's really sad. Is the Xray engine incapable or is it too hard?

man these'll take a while to learn, but it'll be pretty cool to play for friends.

It's possible to get mutants into multiplayer sessions, so you can technically host a "survival" game mode where players fight against mutants, but A-Life simulation for more than one player is so expensive that even the simple "players versus mutants in a multiplayer map" is stuttery as all hell.
Just wait for Survarium's PvE or co-op mode.
I don't know, I love the SoC glitches like how zombies occasionally "forget" that they're zombies and start running around like normal stalkers, when NPCs fuck up and start aiming at the sky in positions that don't make sense considering they have a spine or when Warrant Officer levitates through the roof into the Arena in the middle of the match, that stuff is pretty cray-cray and is the stuff that gives S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a ton of replay value.
Clear Sky glitches were mostly pretty boring and fatal though, like not being able to switch my ammo type, Clear Sky attack squads refusing to move around at the Swamps or Lefty's group fucking up and not continuing along the mission objectives at Yantar. That shit happens even in SRP and it pisses me the fuck off.
I've been playing the STALKER games for god knows how long. Spazzy ragdolls and AI fuckups no longer entertain me; except for Swastika Man, that's one i'd never seen before.
For once i'd like a STALKER or STALKER-like game with less bugs than London's Natural History Museum, because at the end of the day it's the core gameplay that drew me to them in the first place. Every little niggle that gets in the way of that should die in a fire.
I'm waiting for some absolute Russian wizard with the STALKER source code to make coop somehow.
So, in Lost Alpha I past the horrid driving part. The fucking car flips over like those 3-wheeled euro cars
Now, I'm at the part where you are stripped of your thing and given bandit gear. With that shit gear I managed to take down about 20 merceenaries armed with TRs 301s. I had to make a mad dash to pick up there guns and unload them so I didn't have to use the shitty Viper 5.
I feel accomplished after 30 minutes of dying.
For a few minutes, then the bugs just become irritating beyond belief. Bugs add charm to STALKER the same way mold adds charm to bread.
Generally I see bugs make people not want to continue playing the game or the series, not endearing them to it, so I agree.

There needs to be real life anomalies, and one of them needs to be one that can halt time for all but whoever is standing in it so the guys working on this can go in there and this damn thing can come out

Hahahhaha that m1911 suppressed noise is so Goldeneye-ish
What is your guy's favorite game in the series?
I've only played a bit of CS and CoP, but I'm heavily leaning towards CoP atm.
I'm a big fan of how CoP just drops you into the open world and says "have at it".

CoP, though I'm starting to feel like I've played all of them to death at this point. Short of mods that rearrange the levels or add a ton of content I'm getting kind of bored of roaming the same levels in the games.

This. Stalker is about exploration, and no matter how much new content is there in a mod, it will get stale very quick for me if there's no new or reworked levels.
On topic: SoC for the first experience and a good sense of progression, CS mostly felt like a quick money grab and gave my PC no less than 20 BSODs, CoP was great but not as thrilling as SoC, plus its storyline was boring.
What's worse than getting chased by a pseudogiant on a dark foggy night?

Are you using those grenades as binoculars?
I upgraded my PC last week (have been running the same general build for 6+ years and the GPU for 4) and good god am I glad I did. I ended up putting SoC on my SSD with AA2 (ty loner) and plan to do a proper full playthrough of soup after finishing this.
After the glorious Abakan carried me to the Army Warehouses, I have finally been reunited with my VSS raifu.
Are you using those grenades as binoculars?
SGM lets you double up the already more damaging than vanilla grenades into one oversized package of bad news for anyone within about 50m.
50m.
So if you throw this outside of a safezone, everyone gets killed including you.

I always used them to kill Alpha squads. :v:

Frags are actually so powerful they can kill you through walls. Of the entire building.
what next
gauss round cluster grenades?
Pretty sure I've heard of those in some mod. Probably soup

One grenade for each pseudo
IIRC ABC inferno had a nade that triggered anomalies. Electro or whirriiilig (idk how to type it)
whirligig
Is Call of Pripyat good? I was thinking of picking is up soon. I've played SOC and Lost Alpha both unmodded.
Did OLR get an English translation yet?
not quite yet, but an official english translation is due to come out soon
Is there anywhere to purchase Exoskeletons/SEVAs in AA2.1?
I'm running around with over 300k and the Duty SEVA about to head in to Pripyat and desperately need to spend this dosh.

Wasn't it supposed to come out "Soon" last month?
