I'm not sure where this error came from, but I'd really like to fix it. Whenever I play SoC, the game crashes with a bug trap message saying : "XR_3DA.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrCore.dll" at 0023:0061CC85, xrDebug::backend()+165 byte(s)" This happens, whether I launch a previous save or start a new game. I've removed mods, and re-installed the entire game itself and still get this. Has anybody encountered a similar problem?

Looking forward to FZ. It will probably take so long to develop it that I will forget about it, right untill it's released.
have they replaced all the vanilla character models in frozen zone? like it looks good enough already but it always kind of distracts me when you get all these ultra immersive graphics and things and then you run into a guy with gorilla-sized hands bigger than his head and weird long legs

Any legit Stalker: SOC modding tutorials out there perhaps? I´m thinking of making a small sized singleplayer map for it for my school project.
Are you familiar with a 3D modelling package like Maya or Max? I hope so, otherwise you ain't gonna get far bro

Everything in terms of 'making a map' is built in a modelling suite, then imported into the Level Editor part of the SDK - you can find a tutorial I wrote on using the LE [url=http://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-pripyat-redux/tutorials]here.[/url] What kind of level were you wanting to make?

When is the open beta for Survarium gonna start? Also what are their plans for freeplay/open world? Q1 next year?
So is there any fix for that Quickload bug in SOC? The one where loading a savegame instantly makes every NPC attack I currently can't do anything in the Freedom base because they're freaking out about the Duty camp nearby

The start is always rough. But when you know the stuff better, its kind of easier to do it.

They just did really weird and illogical things with their model work. Mainly my critisim spans to their level design, hence my comment. For some reason they combined totally irrelevant meshes together, I don't mean like group them. I mean PHYSICALLY combine them into ONE mesh. Like a part of the exteriour background buildings outside the level were physically welded and linked to meshs inside the level, like some of the props like curbs, or broken fences. Or pieces of a buildings guttering or balconys were in a physical mesh with some of the cars. Although it works. It doesn't entirely make sense. Plus their meshwork topology wise, was very questionable. In essence. Big no no in terms of modelling and prop work.

I've been playing around with the Jupiter plant a bit, and its a real mess in terms of things being inappropriately combined or even booleaned into one mesh.

I'm actually half surprised the engine can cope with that sort of witchcraft. :v: But seriously. I would love to know WHY the hell they did it like that. Never once have I ever seen or known of anyone to build meshwork in that manner. And I learnt myself the hard way to NEVER do it that way. GSC is crazy...was crazy...

i remember you from the GSC forums olivius, glad to see you here also, i'm aware than an official english translation for OLR 2.5 is due to come out soon, but i haven't found any new news related to that, other than it was predicted to come out roughly soon. have you found anything new on that? i haven't
