Beac will we be able to create our own stashes? I like the idea of creating a home for my character, too.
As in 'drop a backpack' style? Probably not, no. But there are tons of hidden stashes you can find and turn into your own. I wish someone would make a DMM for CoP. It would work pretty well with the maps, I think. They're more sandboxy to begin with.
I wish someone would make a DMM for CoP.
CoC will probably function as a decent base for building that.
They are, in fact, doing that. Freeplay Start, effectively. Announced today on their ModDB page.
Oh my good I will cheeki my breeki
Surprised this wasn't posted here yet

[editline]23rd November 2014[/editline] Soon as possible, we're dying to announce everything.
will you be adding more random loot, ala Metro? Just like maybe a single box of ammo or a pill or two or some vodka. I always felt like the lack of any loot outside stashes really killed exploration in CoP. Also if you put more loot in the world you could increase the cost of things from the merchants to push exploration even more. [editline]23rd November 2014[/editline] CoP never had that "scavenging for supplies" feeling that SoC had, and thats one of the things that killed its atmosphere a little.
You mean just lying around in the world like in vanilla CoP?
It would be pretty cool if items generated in lore wise often visited places, although I suppose that is some wizardry to do.
IT'S HERE [t]http://i.imgur.com/SSwaA0t.jpg[/t]
how do i acquire one
You mean just lying around in the world like in vanilla CoP?
yeah. But instead of being hidden like in vanilla CoP they could be more out in the open, like on a table or a shelf, but in less trafficked areas. So many places you go only once for a mission and thats it. would be neat if there were more goodies around that gave you incentive to look around. Especially in Pripyat. Theres all those empty buildings, and iirc Pripyat in CoP was only really inhabited by Monolith until the Military ended up there, so I'd imagine a lot of those buildings that you wouldn't have a reason to go into before would have a wealth of goodies if your willing to go looking. Another idea is maybe you could tweak the anomaly system and have something like multiple "salvage field" per map and a unique "metal detector" detector. Works the same way artifact hunting works, except the loot doesnt move and when you locate it, it just spawns on the ground. Doesn't solve the lack of exploration, but it does add that extra bit of scavenging feeling.

In vanilla there's barely any reason to go off the path since chances are there's nothing hidden there.
We're attacking that with hundreds of new stashes, every original CoP stash is gone, and there are hundreds of new ones in different places. We also have loot spawning around the world as you say.
how do i acquire one
I used RedBubble
I wish there was a reason to stick to a place, like as your home or something. I like it when I can have a "home" in my games. I'm weird like that.
Just claim some old hut and put your stash there. I live in the green traincontainer at yanov station :v:.
Just claim some old hut and put your stash there. I live in the green traincontainer at yanov station :v:.
That's not too much of a reason for me though :c

I'm always a little disappointed when I get there because it's just so empty, like the buildings are too far apart and there's not enough urban exploring in there.
Does anyone know good stealth tweaks for Misery? I like the mod for most of its small changes, but the AI is fucking horrible. Sneaking around groups of bandits at NIGHT is next to impossible. I already ticked off Hardcore AI aim, but it doesn't do shit. The moddb forums had some tweaks some time ago, but they went 404.
Now that I have graduated, am of legal drinking age, and am bored out of my mind, does anyone know of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. drinking game that I could try out?
Each time you find vodka on a corpse you take a vodka in real life.

Pripyat wasn't perfect in that one either but i felt like i got to go inside buildings a lot more. Fuck I hope there's also more cover in Pripyat, and more buildings to enter. Taking up a sniping position on a building is great
One shot per Makarov you find
Each time you find vodka on a corpse you take a vodka in real life.
That's something I gotta do sometime.
That's something I gotta do sometime.
Also you must drink the vodka in real life AND ingame to be fully immersed.
