Is there any way I can remove HUD overlays on misery? Shit is ridiculous.

:D
Is there any good minimods to change the COP 2nd and 3rd generation Night vision? 2nd gen in particular is pathetic.
Or any mods that vastly improve the Night Vision that I can steal the files from for my SGM game?
Nvm, fixed it.
Aww yeah

When does that come out? Last I heard not much was going on with reborn.

iirc alun stopped working on reborn.

It was canned (though alundaio is putting all kinds of cool shit in Call of Chernobyl so its kinda like a new PR) but there's older and fairly stable versions out there, that's what the old AO + PR merge was based on
Stable versions of Pripyat Reborn exist on my forum. I have not made any updates since it's cancellation. I believe someone from AO asked me many months ago if they can use Pripyat Reborn in my mod, I said it was okay. They probably mean they are working on a compatible addon with whatever version they are using.

Look in the game options. Should be a checkbox for helmet HUD.
AO 2.4 is leagues above 2.3 now. It doesn't even really feel like the same mod. It's definitely a bigger jump than going up 0.1 of a version. More like a 2.8 or 2.9 with the engine updates.
Any chance of anyone doing a mod merge of Shoker and MSO?
Tried it myself, but it crashed the game on start. I really don't know how to do this.
It doesn't really do to have all these neat features and awesome guns, only to not be able to use them because the enemies don't spawn fast enough and don't repopulate areas.
so i recently downloaded sgm and i can run it at a smooth 60 fps most of the time but when i stand in certain spots in the cordon i get like 30-15 fps, is there any fix to this? (i dont know if the rest of the game is like this im not out of cordon yet)
This is pretty swish.

any plans to release your CoC work separately after release mate?
I tried AO 2.4.... and I have to say.... I really don't like it.
Staring you out with only a shitty pistol, in the middle of the night, far away from the Skadovsk. What the hell am I supposed to do with THIS?!?! How the hell am I supposed to start with this?! I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do now. I can't work with this. So i'm supposed to just sit around with my thumb up my ass and die of starvation because I can't kill anything because my gun is too weak/not enough ammo and I can't make enough money to feed myself let alone buy something decent?!
I mean in vanilla they gave you a AKS-74u right off the bat. And a fair amount of cash. Not a lot, but enough to get you started. In SGM they upped the challenge a bit by starting you out by the sawmill where all the zombies spawn, though this worked in my favor because although it was really hard to fight them, I got something out of it in the end. Which is what I like: Challenge with a payoff. I like to feel rewarded for my trouble. This... this is just fucking crap.
Made worse by the fact that just like in vanilla you can't sell broken weapons (seriously, who's the dunderhead at GSC that came up with THAT idea?! It makes looting totally pointless! especially since almost NO weapons are in sellable condition.). In Shoker you could sell them to beard, in SGM you had the recycle bin. Yet here you get nothing.
Oh, and the knife is even MORE useless than in vanilla. I stand pressing up against a bandit as hard as I can, while mashing the 2nd fire button on the knife and it does NOTHING.
So yeah, not good first impressions. Not sure if I should try to keep playing (HOW?! I can't really do anything with this shitty load out!) but not feeling much motivation to give this mod a chance.

Look for stashes, some of them have really good guns. Right off the bat i used my memory of vanilla to find a stash containing an 870 shotgun and a considerable amount of buckshot.
Can someone make some webms or videos or AO 2.4 ? I want to replay STALKER, but at the same time i want to tease myself a bit.
Thanks.

Yeeaaaah I don't know where any stashes are.
Btw, are the shotguns any good in this mod?
I know in games like Fallout NV they're utter garbage (Unless you use slugs). In OGSE they're okay for killing npcs but they're piss-poor for killing mutants (Which is why in that mod I lug around a big MG42), In SGM I'm able to own even Alpha Squads (those hunter-killer npcs that hunt down the player that are both bullet sponges and Aimbots) with 1-3 well placed medium distance buckshot headshots, while in stalkersoup they're so powerful there's no reason whatsoever to use anything else.

Just walk up to a squad of 2 or 3 bandits (or stalkers if you're feeling dickish) and pop em in the dome.
I did that and picked up their shit and the game pretty much turned into normal CoP start after that

That scoped TOZ in OGSE is god-like.

Shotguns are far better in AO2.4. Plus there's #2 buckshot which is fantastic for dogs with it's wider spread and higher number of pellets. Normal buckshot seems to be a tiny bit more powerful overall. Can't wait to get a KS-23M and use some 25mmx75R shotgun shells to end entire legions of bloodsuckers.

This is exactly what I did. I then went to the bandit camp and killed all 10 of them, picked up their guns, PDA's and the laptop then sold them all and got about 23k from it.

What is this AO mod? STALKER has so many acronyms. :v:
Probably Arsenal Overhaul
Are the guns as ridiculously inaccurate in DMM:AE as they are in vanilla SoC? I'm getting pretty sick of expending a full clip and hitting someone three times.
What FoV changer do you guys use with CoP? the one I used to use doesnt seem to work anymore, and I cant play CoP with the stock FoV is has
The lastest FoV changer (1.7?) could be applied for CoP.
Well it doesnt seem to matter because I was reinstalling CoP to try out AO 2.4 and it seems to allow the FoV to be changed through the console, which is nice. Still would need a changer for the inevitable arrival of Re-ducks 2
