Can somebody describe SGM for me? How does it compare, what does it add?

There is also some difference between versions of SGM 2.2. RU - vanilla SGM, no new weapons, every location is filled with anomalies (keep your svarog out when sprinting), no custom particles. Sys req. same as vanilla CoP. ENG - All-in-One pack (Albor weapons pack for SGM, custom particles, Misery(?) hud) with eng translation and no custom anomalies.

Right, I just finished playing Clear Sky [sp] with Complete, oh god why did I do this[/sp], I'm going to try out Call of Pripyat. What mods should I get? The list of preferred mods link is broken. I've heard Call of Pripyat COMPLETE is shit, so I'm not going to install it. I already finished the game a few years ago on vanilla, I want to replay the game with the same storyline and locations. Misery's survival concept looks really fucking stupid and the fact that a sniper can't run more than 100 feet irritates me. I'd probably go for vanilla CoP, but I'd like to try it again with some improvements on graphics, gameplay, AI and so on. What about AtmosFear 3? Should I get that? Any texture overhaul mods out there? I know about Photorealistic, but is it compatible? I tried downloading it from the website but the part 2 file is corrupt.

I think it comes with Atmosfear 2.1 in it.

i bundled atmosfear in with the 'Full' version, as well as Absolute Textures. It's only atmosfear 2 since that was what was out at the time make sure you patch to v1.05b before you start have fun :)

Right, so, my CoP is up-to-date according to compatibility. I'm downloading the Redux 1.0 'Full' with the newest patch as well as AtmosFear 3. Going to check out Absolute Textures. If Redux comes with AtmosFear 2.1, how do I remove it? EDIT: Should I get the Full or Lite version for Absolute Nature 3?

Atmosfear 3 was an amazing environmental mod for CoP. I remember the first time I installed it, I stood outside Skadovsk watching the blowout. I could almost hear my fellow STALKERS screaming at me to get inside, but it was probably my melted eardrums that rendered me oblivious. Well, at least it was a gorgeous blowout.

Find pairs of files that have the same name, open them, copy and paste the different lines from one to the other. WinMerge is best for this stuff.

[editline]21st April 2013[/editline] Alright, I attempted to merge the files and launched my game, however, something seems off. I don't remember the game starting during such a bright time... And is there supposed to be fog? I'm going to play some more, see if the weather changes. I took a screenshot of the place I started at. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/YurZ7na.jpg[/img_thumb] My only gripe with this so far is the HUD. While I like realism, I very much prefer having a minimap in the top left corner. Finding dead stalkers' corpses is going to be bullshit insane now. Oh, it seems that the mod doesn't want anyone to have a minimap. Might as well just install atmosfear 3 and play without anything else. ... Wait, there's no upgrades as well? I guess this isn't the vanilla feel I asked for.

Whatever graphics merge you tried to install didn't probably go over smoothly. Personally while I think Redux is a good mod for a second playthrough, the fact that it removes pretty much all stashes from the game world kind of eats away at the rewards for exploration.
