Hey guys what is the best method of changing the FOV in CoP? Or in fact any of the games? For years I have always played with the default FOV and now I'm interested in seeing if I can change things up a bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
FOV Switcher 1.7 I guess

That's what I was looking at and unfortunately I can't find a working link for it anywhere. There are a few but none that look official or from someone trustworthy.

Hate typing on my blackberry, makes me sound and feel retarded. (Old one, if i dont post fast enough the browser crashes). Makes me remember the good 'ol pentium 4 daysi
2 parts of Vanilla+ are uploaded. 3rd part will be uploaded tonight, then I'll send the mega links to all whom volunteered to participate!
If you need anyone else let me know - new to THIS forum, but have been active in the Overclock.net stalker thread and sub-reddit for ages. In fact, I specifically joined Facepunch for this thread.

If you can that would be awesome man. I added you on Steam, my handle is Game Epidemic. Again thank you!

I recognised your name from somewhere. I was also on overclock! And yes please, the more report, the better the mod can get!
It's an on-and-off long time thing where a resident artist draws all the posters in the thread as Stalkers together in one scene, and it brings all the lurkers and irregular posters out as they want to be in it.
I pretty much define lurker. I read the thread daily, rate posts where necessary and typically never post.
Also those 3D scopes are looking swank as fuck
loner if u r still listening im [del]a schoolgirl with black hair and a nato rifle and a tragic/edgy backstory[/del] willing to play/feedback your thing that will hopefully be the end of the rage inducing "if ur going to play modded play complete" bollocks
SHOKER and Gunslinger both look incredibly good.
I can't help but being bitter though. I'm just so fucking sick of waiting.
I feel like my life is nothing else than a perpetual wait these days.

I feel the same but primarily for Redux 2.0. Magazine loading gives me a raging hard on and I'm not afraid to say it.

Pretty much.
just lurk and rate.
So I managed to find a copy of the FOV Changer but unfortunately my game keeps crashing. Even with the proper DLL installed. Is this not compatible with Arsenal Overhaul? I did notice that it included its own bin folder for installation so my assumption is that is uses modified DLL's itself and therefore replacing them would be the only likely thing to cause the crash.
Once upon a time I unlurked the airsoft section and got flamed for not being in the cool kid's club and ever since I've just pretty much stopped posting in a lot of my favourite threads. I've only made like 100~ posts this year as opposed to posting tons a day since 2005.

Same though my thing is that if i'm not actively playing stalker it just feels somehow inappropriate to post.

If you are using Arsenal Overhaul 2.4, all you have to do is bring down the console and type "fov <number>"
What's the best mod out for CoP or SoC? I've played LURK and Oblivion Lost for SoC and I've played CoP REDUX some.
It feels like REDUX takes a lot out. Every time I get a stash coordinate as a reward, it says it was already found, and it looks like I can't upgrade my weaponry.
Ammo scarcity and every gun being broken also suck.
I kinda wanna try stalker but I suck at survival type games and I get spooked easier than a rabid hamster. Is it still worth a try?
Do it, we'll get great stories out of you.
seriously, though, its one of the best series of games ever made, you should absolutely play it. Just remember, try vanilla first before adding sprinkles.
Hi I'm doing the Road to Limansk mod for CS. I introduced myself a few dozen pages back. I've mostly been posting on Moddb, but the community just pisses me off. They feel like they are a bunch of kids who got the games on sale on steam last week and not true fans. Granted, there are exceptions.
If anyone has an engine suggestions, chime in.
1.Pistol reload empty sounds are done
2. Actor shadow
3. Grass Shadow
4. Automatic pistols
5. Increased grass distance* Not done its the last on the list and it looks like it won't get finished without a C++ guy. Kind of makes the rest of the changes useless, I can't stand that damn short draw distance.
Anyone have suggestions for more?

Toning down the spawns would be a nice start

shadow of chernobyl is the scariest of the three. lab x18 is one of the scariest locations in video games. i quit shadow of chernobyl probably three or four times once getting to x18 over the course of five or six years and i finally beat it about a month ago, after putting it off for a week. it's safe to say i fucking hate scary shit, and despite that, shadow of chernobyl is one of my favorite games of all time. i mean i probably put 100+ hours into soc before i even beat it. if all you've been playing are big budget, aaa titles, playing soc will be like discovering video games for the first time again. despite all of its flaws, it's a one of a kind masterpiece. cs and cop are not on the same level as soc, and neither are most games, but they're still great. the fact that the stalker series has one of the largest, deepest, most dedicated modding communities around is just icing on the cake.

Anyone willing to help out? I'm looking for someone who can script Lua alot better then I can and someone who knows C++ and can work on the engine in VS Studio 2008. The few I did have have been pulled away by their own projects. Someone who can do both would be great since the engine work could potentially eliminate alot of the Lua stuff.

Anyone have suggestions for more? I really haven't had time to think about it since I've been doing mostly models and skins for the last year. I'm trying to keep the feel of the zone though. I've always though giving the big guns their own class that only an Exo could carry would be cool.
I originally planned on giving each rifle 3 different scopes Red Dot, medium/long, and night vision. That's changed. I'm re-skinning/ modeling and insane number of scopes right now. 1p29, Trilux, Susat, Kobra, Eotech, Pk-A, PK-As, 1p78, ACOG, nspu34, 1n93r, plus the usual standbys and more. I haven't started adding them in yet, better to finish up all of them then run the assembled models off like an assembly line.
Hey man, welcome.
Contribute to OpenXray like Loner1 suggested :)
Also if you ever get bored of modelling scopes, come make interiors for Redux ;)

And if you kill them mid-throw don't run up to the body because they're about to be part of the bandit space program.

If you see something that looks like a nude, humanoid Cthulhu, don't panic. They only want a hug.

Thanks to everyone for your awesome support during MOTY this year - we didn't make the Top 5 Upcoming (we never expected to, really) but it's been a huge boost to our spirits this Christmas to see the amount of support you have given us.
Thanks a lot, from all the Redux team.
We'll be settling down to a more sane level of content posting again now that MOTY is over, so we'll finish off 2014 with this shot - recognise where it is?
We're hard at work on the rebranding/relaunch which we have planned for January - the new ModDB page design was just the beginning, so keep an eye on us this coming year!
Happy New Year, let's make 2015 another great year for Stalkers everywhere!
