Darkenneko's extended variation mod is in CoC already, and CoC itself is some kind of MSO and Faction War too, but ofc it can be detailed further with future mods. I'm not sure about Gunslinger, only if they release their source code changes.
No source involved :) believe it or not. [editline]4th January 2015[/editline]
I always despised that particular mod because of how they spent more time photoshopping and making hype instead of working on actual mod...
If you really think like this, I must say, you're in the wrong. The team was big, the coders did not have the job to do the page and pr as well, the jobs were divided. I must say, the hype got out of control at one point, though.
Multithreading is on the task list for the CoP Source.
It's such a blessing to the stalkercommunity that the sourcecodes leaked out.
So could I somehow remove the storyline with arsenal? I love CoP but the missions do in fact get boring after the like fifteenth time. I just wanna cheeki myself some breeki.
No source involved :) believe it or not.
Someone said that Gunslinger uses a modified source code, and without their binaries the mod will not work, but it looks like you know more. About the "stab", nope, you are wrong, i had multiple mods in my mind. I spoke just about an attitude what i don't like, and i didn't want to hurt you. Hype can go out of control, but someone exploit it, someone else not, it's a decision too.
at the end of the day these things come out in the wash - if you overhype and underdeliver, you'll know it
So could I somehow remove the storyline with arsenal? I love CoP but the missions do in fact get boring after the like fifteenth time.
does it really matter? the only place you can't go without progressing the story is pripyat and pripyat is boring as shit anyway.
Yes it matter because no it isn't

Hamza told me they aren't doing any engine modifications at all. I can double check if any of you'd like
So far, i've merged a more useful hostile factions mod (automatically makes bandits hostile if you side with the stalkers, and Freedom or Duty when you side with the other), a Tremor replacement for when he fellates his Browning, and a part of Dunin COP mod (specifically the ammo repackaging) into AO 2.4.1. Small additions, but ones i've found I can't play any mod without. The ammo repacking in particular is a great quality of life improvement; no more hammering your mouse to transfer 1 and 2-shell boxes when they could just as easily be repacked into the standard 10-shell boxes. When the maker of AO ditched the engine mods, it took with it the thirst requirement, which makes adding a hud mod so much easier; so I figure I won't include one as people can just slap on whatever one they fancy the most. Planning on adding mutant looting, but i'd rather it be such that mutants have a regular inventory from which you can pluck the pieces a'la SoC, rather than the minimod I have in my mod archives, which gives you bits automatically (or none at all) when you press use on a mutant corpse, along with a message to indicate it which gets annoying after a while. Haven't the faintest clue as to how to go about readding an inventory to mutants, though.
How possible would it be for you to be able to implement some sort of quick release system? Basically misery has, where you double click the button in your inventory and all the shit you dont need for combat (food and all that shit) gets dropped on the ground in a bag and you're left with ammo and meds. More mods need that sort of thing

fucking MSO running back to skadovsk, almost no ammo left, get ambushed by bandits at the crane while I'm still running through the water I'm trying to fire back, suddenly 3 snorks on my left. Fuck, waste my AKM ammo on them. Pull out my pistol and continue trying to fight back, cant retreat as theres a group of boars behind me but far enough to not notice me. Kill two out of the 3 bandits, when suddenly bloodsucker.

I believe that the mod you are talking about only drops a stash at where you are, not a sack that is already containing items. Unless I'm too uninformed about mods that I don't realize such thing already exists as a minimod.
Mini-mod's Actor Backpack by Alundaio [features] Ability to drop all of the player's unequipped items into a rucksack at his location. It is smart in that it will keep only the ammo of the current equipped weapons. There is also a keep item list in config. By default no medical items will be dropped. There are various configurations to change in configs\plugins\itm_manager.ltx
for fucks sake mso I can't get morgans PDA because Spartacus won't talk to me after killing the bandits at shevchenko what a dick
Would be nice if we could determine the dropped items ourselves by selecting the rucksack. Though having heard from Etc and Beac that would be a helluva thing to make.
nevermind i dont need to talk to the cunt
Christ, AO's ui_icon.equipment.dds file is hideous. The alpha channel's fine and so the icons themselves look fine in-game, but the file itself looks really duct-taped together.
Would be nice if we could determine the dropped items ourselves by selecting the rucksack. It's rather odd how in programming seemingly simple things are actually dreadfully complicated to implement. [editline]4th January 2015[/editline] On the plus side, AO's version of that file already has mutant parts, so I don't need to edit it and add them.

I thought that used only the one sound file, which would normally mean the sound bug would be consistent if it's a problem with the file.

anyone familiar on working with shockwave flash?
anyone familiar on working with shockwave flash?
I've fiddled in the Adobe / Macromedia flash animation programs. Not sure if it's the same thing as Shockwave Flash though... What did you want done?
So I have returned after a long absence! And I now have a ludicrously overpowered gaming PC. LoNer1, any news on the Vanilla+ front? I've just checked out the moddb page, looking great! Does it include the Zone Reclamation Project stuff yet? (The bugfixes and so-on.) I see lovely graphical stuff and things about new weapons and rebalancing. I look forward to giving that stuff a try. :) Are they going to be an optional part of the mod? It would be great if people had the option to play the game with just the original weapons and their original stats (no matter how shitty they might be be), with Vanilla+ just improving the graphics, fixing bugs, and correcting dumb oversights like the gauss rifles with no ammo in Pripyat. Vanilla+ is supposed to be the modern alternative to the old "Complete" mod, and one of the criticisms of Complete is that it it made stealth easier and messed with weapon stats and the carry limit. Resulting in purists saying "don't play Complete, it's shit, use Zone Reclamation Project instead". (Cause all the gameplay changing things in ZRP are optional.) Vanilla+ should try to avoid that issue by making anything that significantly alters the game be an optional part of the installation. My hope is that Vanilla+ will be great for people that have neved played STALKER and want to experience the "original" game but with modern graphics and all the weird stuff fixed. While experienced STALKER players will also want to play it, to have some nostalgia and relive the original story and quests, but with new improved gameplay with cool new guns.
