They wont release it for SoC. Hamza told me it's too much of a hassle, sadly. I do admit, working with CoP once you've got the hang of it is way more fun than SoC, you've got more freedom to do shit like this instead of first thinking of a very ugly hack to get around doing the same damn thing :v:

Could be anything. My thoughts is that the fog itself is an anomaly field which does not look intimidating from outside, when you get inside it, weird shit happens. Though I could be wrong..

A working quests for 1 person - everyone can take it but only one can finish. The rest of players receive the "quest failed" message.

That would be cool. The horror elements of STALKER are pretty lacking once you've been in the Zone long enough. Bloodsuckers were never as scary to me as they seem to be to other people; they'll get a jump scare out of me every once in awhile but generally I'm on alert anyway so I know when they're in the area by recon-ing everything first.

Fuck, competitive missions would be amazing. Imagine a mission to penetrate the deepest areas of the Zone and retrieve an artifact only ever rumoured, the first person to do so will make a shitload of money. Wouldn't that be amazing?

I'm more interested in that you could stalk your friend, kill/rob him when he gets it, then turn it in yourself. Or you could work together and split the money.

Hell since before SoC came out even, the ~2003 era site for Oblivion Lost listed 4 player online co-op as a feature :v:
I was just thinking about co-op stalker the other day.
Imagine being with a buddy, he's on one side of a street behind cover, you on the other, both suppressed by AI. Then your buddy runs out of ammo, and you grab one of your spare mags and toss it across the street to him and he has to catch it.
Shit would be cray
Or just the thing of artifact hunting together, or being sniper duo with one using binoculars to spot enemies, and the other one uses the sniper rifle to own.

It gave me unexpected end of archive, the log archive that is.
I don't really see the appeal of making the game coop, to be honest. The whole point of the game is to feel lonely and isolated as you wander the Zone, and adding in a bunch of people cheeki breeking everywhere will just ruin that. I remember playing that STALKER Online MMO and having more people didn't really help, it just ended up being a mess. If anything that game was at its best when you were roaming alone, far from everyone else. Coop sounds good on paper but rarely ends up being that great in execution, especially when it's eaten up resources that could have gone towards making SP better.
It will certainly not be the same as Singleplayer, but equally memorable (if properly done). I think people have ~2-5 PvE coop in mind, rather than an MMO.
So here's a question. After playing MISERY+TAZ for hours, I decided to clear off and try AO+MSO. One thing though. Any recommended things to merge with it somehow? I am a sucker for new artifacts and item content for instance, but I don't think there are any mods that add those that are also merge-able, SGM for instance. Just curious before I finalize my install and start anew.
