Anyone able to start Call of prypiapt.
For some retarded reason it just stopped working, I clocked 68 hours on this pc and it just wont boot.
I just start it on steam and the screen goes black and everything is silent.
I'd hate to have to pirate an older version just so I can play a game I paid for.

Sometimes it won't start if certain programs are running for some reason, you don't happen to have XFire running do you? (Might also try closing other programs too if that doesn't work)
What is SGM?.
SGM or Sigerous Mod is one of those content dump -style mods for Call of Pripyat. For what it's worth, it includes a lot of new missions, some of which are pretty well made as well as new guns, factions, faction bases and new items. The gameplay balance can get kind of ridiculous in the mid-late game thanks to the pretty overpowered new armors and artifacts but you don't really have to use them. Also SGM's Alpha Squads are pretty fun to fight against once they level up sufficiently.

30 guys with .50 cal rifles that love to headshot you from several miles away.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fun, everyone.
[sp]They are interesting to fight against. My main method of dealing with them is large amounts of grenades.[/sp]
started playing LURK 1.1 again. I'm alot better at taking it slow than I was before
also tried some clear sky with the recommended bug mod. it tends to crash often.
gonna start the newest version of redux now

Ill check them out. Gonna play with the vanilla scopes for awhile longer first tho
Ingame I have a graphical glitch ive never seen before, a rectangle of artifact-y stuff in the bottom right corner. Its not too awful or anything but its definately noticeable in dark areas
other than that im really enjoying redux

oh wow i got tk'd by a fellow stalker shooting behind me
what a jerk
Is SGM the mod that starts you at the sawmill with a scoped BM16? I played it for a few minutes but my computer got fucked and I never remembered what it was.
Speaking of the sawmill.. I peek around the corner and, oh hey, zombie with an rpg, how are you doi-
People Soup will turn you Russian.

[editline]12th July 2013[/editline]
what is happening
glad you're enjoying redux magicburrito! welcome back to the thread :)
I hope the games go on sale
Alright so since I'm in Bulgaria, Blåberry helped me with the idea that I should get some more competitors for the stalker tournament. Competitive stalker is probably a big thing around here.
I was thinking etc and I could have our match soon and then I realised I have to deal with two shitty school related things for the entirety of the next two weeks.
fuckkkkk
[editline]13th July 2013[/editline]
too many paper book
not enough stalkering
[editline]13th July 2013[/editline]
also too many going to other shitty city as part of school camp
eugh

And I'm going to Denmark for a month.
We should have got this out of the way much sooner.
Denmark? I know that place.

yeah just a little bit, maybe
I blame Green, he's my co-organizer.
So, after a long hiatus, I am reinstalling Clear Sky again. Recommend me some great mods. Ideally, I want lots of new weapons (got a NATO fetish too), new gameplay mechanics and computer-melting graphics.
The best mod for Clear Sky at the moment is TFW (The Faction War) that improves the faction wars a great deal, introduces more random events and injects actual A-Life into the game, has a lot of new gameplay mechanics like hiring bodyguards and being able to control your faction's squads to some degree and has much more variety in NPC skins than vanilla had. The downside of that, if you will, is that it removes the story completely in favour of the faction wars.
I might give TFW a try too. Does it have crashing problems?
My experiences from the mod come from earlier versions but it's pretty okay. Just remember that the latest version needs a patch to unfuck A.I behavior at Garbage.
I might give TFW a try too. Does it have crashing problems? I'm playing with the bug-fixing mod and it crashes all the time. Guessing that's just clear sky
I hope the games go on sale
The first two are pretty cheap on steam and amazon as is, and CS goes on sale for $5 pretty frequently.
Alright, I think it's nigh time I try... The Soup.
I've only done LURK before, so I don't know what to expect at all.
Expect crashes.
A lot of crashes.
Expect crashes.
A lot of crashes.
In about 40 hours of The Soup, I've had about 4 crashes in total. All of them had something to do with the special PMM.
StalkerSoup really isn't that unstable at all.
StalkerSoup really isn't that unstable at all.
I can't talk to any important NPCs. That also means that I can't even trade with any of the traders because the game crashes
also the loading takes 5-6 minutes. I'm not joking, I timed that shit
Get a new install yo, mine was flawless until I got to Pripyat. Even regular loading times, not the fabled 10 minute loads everyone whines about.
Thank you for the grenade throwing NPCs SGM, now I can take knowledge in that NOWHERE IS SAFE because the nades instant kill me on master.
is there a download link for the "Oblivion Lost Remake" mod? i've also seen a translation floating around, seen in this video:
