Okay, the Blade Wolf boss fight was pretty awesome.
it gets pretty old fast and it's only like 5 hours long.

seriously the cutting gimmick really does get old once you realize it's really just a graphical thing, and that everything disappears before it even hits the ground.
yeah yeah it would be hard on the processor and video and shit but it would be much more badass to walk away from a giant heap of biomechanical twitching body parts and shit than a typical environment where it's obvious everyone vanished after they died, and what can and cannot be destroyed, maybe with a few decals here and there.

well to me it was a rental.
still it's my opinion, and my advice would be to rent it. have you played the demo?

It's a tiny bit shorter than Jetstream, but it's also cheaper and, frankly, more interesting. Bladewolf is very fun to use, since he actually has stealth moves, unlike Sam. Also, the VR missions are a lot more varied, and the boss fight at the end is really cool.
I recommend it.

I don't even have a console... But from what I saw, its EXACTLY what I want in a hack n' slash game.
Metal Gear Rising is pretty damn short, but it's awesome and it has a great amount of replay value.
i wish sam had stealth attacks even if they're "against his style" it was such a pain in the ass the game basically taunts you like "see those mastiff shitlords? haha you have to fight them no stealth attacks fucker"

that being said sam had a radical fight style and his charge attacks were so fuckin cool

Yeah, when I first played him I thought to myself "What a bad ass, holy shit, why play Raiden"
Then I realized he has no sneak moves, pretty crappy aerial combat attacks and no ninja run quick attacks ([sp]Those Rex missiles were a pain in the ass[/sp]). However, his insane speed, 'berserk' debuff he puts on chumps and crazy charge attacks definitely make up for it. I was just hoping that he did have a sneak attack, but instead of a nasty stab, you just pokes the unaware foe with his finger, staggering them while taunting.
Fun Fact: You can use his Sheath Charge attack in Blade Mode. Try it out.

It's perfect for what it is. Fun gameplay that handles well with a soundtrack and story that are fun but don't get too serious. It's really good!

The soundtrack is gorgeous. I wish I didn't see any of the boss fights already, because I would cry in joy from the awesome battles with the amazingly energetic music.
Everything fits in perfectly, and I hope they keep on coming with DLC to back up the game story with more and more content. I even started to accept it as canonical to the rest of the MG series.

I really wish Platinum would make a DLC about Bladewolf and Sam. They talk a lot about the relationship between the two in the main game, and now there's a DLC campaign for each of them. It would be perfect.
