You know, sometimes I wish Platinum would just patch the game to make Sundowner harder. He is just way too easy. After his shield goes down, he has pretty much no defense whatsoever and you can just stunlock him to death.

Well I was playing MGS2 again on hard. I got to the Rays and decided to put the game down for a while.

There's a reason I haven't picked it up since.

Actually, last time I played through on normal, I swear I beat them on my third try, at most.

So I just got the MGS HD collection and I'm wondering where I should start. I want to jump into Snake Eater, but after everything I've heard about Sons of Liberty I think it would be better to start there and then go up so Raiden isn't the guy that leaves a lasting impression.

If you still got some dosh on you, buy MGS1 on the PSN store.

If you've already played it, start with MGS2. Chronological release order is the way to go, since all subsequently released games have easter eggs/pisstakes about the earlier games.

e.g., in MGS3, if you select "I love MGS2!", you start off with a Raikov mask. It looks exactly like Raiden. Raikov is a gay Major in GRU. It was a response to all the hysterics about how girly Raiden looked.
