MGS2 was a great game. But the gameplay is where it really shines.

I liked MGS2, really I did. There were some good parts, bad parts, and just plain out bizarre. We had true heroes like Pliskin, who actually did something, rather than Snake, who just fecked off somewhere. We all know where this is headed, so here's the most dreaded part of the game [sp]Do you know what day it is tomorrow?[/sp]

You know, I never did look at the alternate menus for camo in MGS3 HD. I didn't even notice their existence until I beat the game.

Just because it's highly symbolic and has hidden/underlying themes that are hard to notice at first doesn't mean it's some genius example of storytelling. Sure it's deeper than some of the other MGS games in that respect but that doesn't make it instantly better.
