Liquid and Solid are exactly alike, you cant say they dont look the same just because Liquid has bleached hair. Solidus would have exactly the same face as big boss. If they had the same haircut and never lost their eyes.

Where their forehead ends and hair starts to grow is different, look at the corners. Besides, even from that angle it appears that Solidus has a wider head, jaw and slightly heavier brow. He may be a perfect clone (bar accelerated aging) but his skull's a different shape and I think it's just to differentiate the characters, we're in the realms of fiction here after all.

The only reason i can see he isnt 100% perfectly identical is because he's a shitload younger (even when taking the advanced aging into account) in mgs2 than big boss was in mgs4 and he and snake literally shared the exact same face model in MGS2.

I did consider your other point actually, but it would be pretty stupid for Liquid Ocelot to base the Octocamo sculpture on Big Boss' rebuilt and altered face when he can use the iconic look for his giant monument, like he did with Liquid's face. I think BB's post-surgery appearance was accurate to the original, if they've got all that technology then surely they can reconstruct it. Besides, Solid Snake would just look at it like "Hey why is that sculpture of Big Boss so inaccurate".

I said Big Boss probably looks different because of reconstructive surgery. Also yes it kind of is irrelevant when it was so out of the blue and never even acknowledged or brought up ever again and isnt even on the actual model from any visible angle its seen from.

What you've got to remember is that Snake knows what BB looks like. He killed him, after all. Twice.

Like lintz said, Snake knows what BB looks like. [sp]At the end of MGS4 he didn't express any confusion over BB's face before he mentioned how he was brought back. Big Boss returning was fan service and it wouldn't make much sense to bring him back looking different, he was in his iconic outfit and all.[/sp] With all the futuristic tech in MGS4, a good skin graft should be a doddle. If Decoy Octopus can accurately [sp]become the DARPA chief's doppelganger[/sp] 9 years prior, then the face building industry must be pretty good.

Also the gameplay is straight up terrible for roughly the first half of the game, plus the swimming scene. The only thing that makes that game fun to me is that a handfull of it's boss fights are really, really good. And that sometimes the plot is so terrible it's actually funny.
