I'm reading the digital graphic novel right now which is basically a more detailed recollection of the Shadow Moses incident. You can see the scars on his face in that and you can see the same scars on the mcfarlane figurine that was released as part of a full line back around the time MGS came out. He also briefly recalls his body being burnt in the graphic novel. This is a repaint of said figure, the original paint job on these was kinda poor. So is Keifer Sutherland a good actor? I've only ever seen him in a few episodes of 24 and it was a bit silly.

So if Hayter ISNT the voice of snake, what was with all the fucking hype to "WHO WILL BE SNAKES VOICE" I mean changing a voice actor isnt that fucking special, its more of a disappointment, really. I'm positive that SOMETHING is up.

Up to this point Kojima has been trolling us like crazy. No reason to believe anything until next week's E3.

Even IF he's voicing him it'll be some "he's voicing Ishmael which is a figment of Snake's imagination which technically makes him Snake so we were right got you" kind of thing.

I hope we get to see a new trailer at e3 and maybe a release date, which is pretty unlikely.

The entire reasoning for him 'sounding older' is complete horseshit, so I'm holding my breath for this to be a ruse.

I just soooo want to this to be a double ruse by Kojima. As in- it actually turns out to be true about Sutherland. Just to see the fanbase's reaction. No Hayter, and everything that Kojima said was true(from the reasons for changing to roman numerals to the reason for ditching Hayter.) Shit would be hillarious. Also, I'm okay with Sutherland playing Snake.

To be fair. That face tracking technology would only work with an experienced actor. Hayter is a writer and director. He only ever did voice work as a hobby. If Kojima wants to make serious performances out of his game we can't blame him for wanting to change up the cast.

His biggest live action acting role was that Guyver movie, and we all know how good the acting was in that. Maybe he can prove his acting chops in the Devils Mile, then it would be ultra bullshit that he can't act Snake/BB.

Hayter is experienced with voice work, but he is nowhere near as experienced in normal acting, which requires a lot more gesture, subtle movements, facial expressions, etc. Keifer Sutherland, on the other hand, is experienced in this field.

Doesnt mean they still couldnt have his voice. Bateson in Absolution was fine even though someone else did the motion capture.

Did the guy do both mocap and facial capture for Hitman, or just the mocap? I can imagine voice acting over facial capture would be difficult due to the lipsync.
