Metal Gear Solid - Tactical Megathread Action VII. Could Plisken actually be Snake?

Not really. It means that there's enough content in Ground Zeroes to make it its own full game than just MGSV's virtuous mission. More Metal Gear Solid for everyone.
That is stupid.
Well games are going to take longer to develop and are going to cost a lot more with the next generation. Having the game come out in portions costs less money and time.
David Hayter is going to voice Big Boss.
My mind is crashing and burning after i sat through the ending of MGS 2
Does anyone have a recap/explained post about what happened, colonel was[sp] the AI, then the AI got destroyed, then he says something about growing up as something non-existence under the white house layer after layer..[/sp]

Wow that commentating really started to fall apart towards the end...
Still does a great job summing up why it is believed Kojima is a trolling everyone with this.
I'm pretty sure it was said somewhere that they will be sold separately. MGS Ground Zeroes and MGSV The Phantom Pain. Both sides of the same coin, but Phantom Pain being a much larger game.
They are looking into ways to deliver it. It's not set in stone yet.

Right well basically
[sp]The entire game, Raiden has been led by "The Colonel" and "Rose", both of which are actually Arsenal Gear, part of the Patriot's plot something or other blah blah, and they are to simulate the support staff that Snake had in MGS1, as essentially, the Big Shell Incident is a re-simulation of Shadow Moses (more info avaliable about this from that one post that explains how MGS2 literally skullfucks you).
Anyway once EE's virus is uploaded, Arsenal Gear goes tits up, and so the simulation Colonel and Rose start following suite as the virus runs it's course. During this, of course, the AI starts giving off random information about whatever including the Patriot's plans and blah blah blah none of this even makes sense.[/sp]
How is it so hard for people to grasp?
Ground Zeroes is to Phantom Pain as the Tanker Chapter was to the Plant Chapter in MGS2.
I've never read anything about them being sold separately.

I had a great time when you are inside Arsenal Gear :v:
These "glitches" are beyond hilarious.
Anyway, since MGS Ground Zeroes is going to be the prequel to MGS 5, i guess that MGS 5 won't come out for another year or 2-3?

Kojima briefly discussed the idea of them being seperate products (but still technically part of the same game) delivered in a certain way but how that will happen he is unsure. I'm guessing more will be revealed on that post-e3.
He may want to experiment with it the way DR2 had case zero which IMO is a fantastic idea.

Oh wait yeah and at the very end [sp]Raiden throws the dog tags you made away because he's saying "FUCK YOU FAGGOT IT'S MY TURN TO BE IN CONTROL NOW"[/sp].

Kojima talked about how games might be needed to be sold in portions to accommodate the lengthy development times and huge costs at their GDC thing or during an interview. He said that they were looking into having GZ and PP come out at different times.

Okay, okay. I am now pretty sure that something is going on.
That similarity between the Moby Dick film maker and the names it's way too perfect to be a coincidence.

Ahh, I understand. That sounds kinda neat.
So, between all the MGS games, which one is the largest? (as in, gameplay, exploration and so on.)
Probably MGS3 or PW. MGS4 is long but if you skip all the cutscenes the game is only about 3 hours long.
Peace walker holds the most content, I'm sure. Especially if you're going for 100%.
oh christ what did I do
it's extremely tempting to buy you a title now but I'm completely broke
YOU DID THIS TO ME. YOU DID THIIIIIIIIIIIS
This stream continues its excellency

Yeah I went back and S ranked all Main and Extra Ops (with the exception of vehicle missions) and my totally game time is over 83 hours on the one save.
I got to a point, at the sixth Zardornov missions, where vehicle battles just got ridiculous, even my Armour piercing machine gun that I just unlocked didn't do anything.

It takes a lot of upgrading and they do get tedious, best way is to find a mission with a good R&D POW and farm it until you've got highly upgraded weapons.

Just random shit occured in my head.
So, Kiefer is ultimately the new BB voice. And yet Hayter doesn't shut up meaning he's still within the developement of the game.
WHAT IF THEY ARE MAKING PHANTOM PAIN AND GROUND ZEROES AS A TIE IN INTO MG 1 AND MG 2, DOING MG 1 AND MG 2 REMAKES ON FOX ENGINE?
yeah, a man can dream.
