and gj, you just missed out on the best story in the series
I'm okay with being a "fucking idiot" from my decision to start the series with MGS3.
I knew nothing about mgs before hand, so I didn't know what I was getting into. At this point I've pretty much played through every game a couple times, so it's fine.
Everyone should start with mgs1, or if you really want to, the original metal gear.
Koijima intentionally makes Raiden feminine to bait people into calling him a faggot, so he can reply RAIDEN IS MEANT TO BE THE PRAYER, SO WHAT DOES THAT MAKE YOU
10/10 Kojima.
What. Where's a source for this? And I assume it's implied?
I never listened to Paz's tapes till now and it's pretty depressing how MSF went from all happy stuff like fishing off the deck and playing soccer to torturing everyone they can and going on a war path to revenge.
Oh my god I can't believe Miller tried to cheer up Paz with with a guitar song then tried to show her how suppositories work!
I can't believe that Miller has slept with almost every women in MSF!
If there are really less cutscenes in 5 than in 4, I hope that they are extra long to compensate
with hours and hours of convoluted dialogue
and if "proxy wars" isn't said at least 400 times, I will be disappoint
I'm going to be completely honest, I dont get why everyone is up in arms about Hayter not being Big Boss now. BB is getting older, and BB in MGS4 wasnt voiced by Hayter anyway. Snake and BB are different characters, and if they DO ever remake MG1 and 2, its would be dumb to have the same VA doing the protagonist and the antagonist using the same voice for both characters.
so i realized that those lights we see at the bottom of the extended trailer resemble DNA sequences.
has anyone else gotten this notion?
Also, wasn't Solidus supposed to be the true 1:1 clone of BB? He wasnt voiced by Hayter
Also, wasn't Solidus supposed to be the true 1:1 clone of BB? He wasnt voiced by Hayter
Because it would sound fucking weird to have two Hayters talking.
Because it would sound fucking weird to have two Hayters talking.
Also why liquid despite being snake`s identical twin (aside from hair color and a few minor things) wasnt just Hayter in a British accent.
What. Where's a source for this? And I assume it's implied?
Raiden never went to Shadow Moses, only in a VR simulation.
I never went to Alaska to kill the X Men and stop the walking nuclear tank, but I did do it in a video game, which is kind of like a simulation.
Also why liquid despite being snake`s identical twin (aside from hair color and a few minor things) wasnt just Hayter in a British accent.
Liquid was the lesser of the three clones.
Evidently Solidus would have to sound more like Doyle than Hayter after the encounter in MGS4 showed he sounded slightly different.
Because it would sound fucking weird to have two Hayters talking.
thats my point. Its rather likely MG1/2 remakes will happen, so why not set it up now just to be safe.
i want to see an hd version of snake using a lighter and spray can to beat big boss
Pretty sure Eli is Plisskin, lots of people have light colored hair that gets darker as they get older, it happened to one of my friends
Pretty sure Eli is Plisskin, lots of people have light colored hair that gets darker as they get older, it happened to one of my friends
What are you? Stupid? Quiet is Pliskin!
Eli is Random Hajile
eli is johnny
fuck dont say that
eli is johnny
notice a few things.
one: eli is sitting down. what else do you sit on? toilets. what does johnny spend most of his time doing? that's right
two: eli is "a youth who curses his fate." what is johnny fated to do, and curses all the time?
three: look at eli's face. doesn't it look like he might be having some... bowel trouble???

Kojima also said this game would tackle the taboo, do you know what word sounds like the last syllable of taboo?
Taboo also has TWO syllables, number two is what Johnny is always doing. Kojima you crafty bastard
Also, wasn't Solidus supposed to be the true 1:1 clone of BB? He wasnt voiced by Hayter
In the Jap version Solidus and Solid Snake were voiced by Akio Ohtsuka so make of that what you will.

It is my dream that after the credits of MGSV we hear Sutherland as Big Boss go "Commence Operation N313" and then Hayter goes "This is Snake, Big Boss do you read me?"
akio otsuka is also a professional voice actor and is capable of a multitude of ranges.
akio otsuka is also a professional voice actor and is capable of a multitude of ranges.
He used the same voice for both characters :v:
akio otsuka is also a professional voice actor and is capable of a multitude of ranges.
Except it was the exact same voice for both characters.

Aaron do you wanna die?
Believe it or not our voices aren't written into our genes. Solidus and Big Boss had different lives so they developed different voices, just like how Liquid was raised in the UK so he's ridiculously English. Before somebody counters this with Big Boss and Solid Snake sharing a voice, that was for the sake of having "Snake" return as the protagonist.
I hope that song in the trailer is the 'Snake Eater' song of this game, cause it's really grown on me.
Maybe there will be a James Bond-esque intro to V like there was in 3, that would be hype.
[sp]raiden in mgs2 is supposed to be you so you just called yourself an idiot[/sp]
[editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
which i agree with
that's the dumbest thing i ever heard
gordon freeman is supposed to be the player, so if i call him mute does that mean i call myself mute?
How do you figure? It's no different than MGS3 other than the running and gunning.
It's very, very different actually, well, shooting is mostly the same, although even that MGS3 improved on.
Melee combat in MGS2 is absolute bull, it's unresponsive as all hell, and in my opinion, not very fun.
only fucking idiots play mgs3 before mgs1/2
might not have been the smartest thing to play MGS3 first, but it certainly doesn't make him an idiot.
and gj, you just missed out on the best story in the series
this however makes you an idiot, MGS2 is by far the worst plot in the series, atleast without counting spinoffs. It makes absolutely no sense, it's full of plot holes, and it constantly jumps between treating the player like a complete idiot that needs to be forcefed every bit of information possible, to not giving any information at all.
I never had a problem with the camera in MGS2 since there's a radar. The fixed camera in MGS3, however...
The camera in MGS2 is absolute shit, the radar could have fixed this, because it works pretty well when it actually is there, atleast on the lower difficulties, but the problem is, half the time it isn't.
You always have to find the node before you can activate it, and the node is always somewhere slab dab in the middle of the room, so you have to sneak in there using just the shitty camera, and you have to do this for every single room.
And then there are the rooms where you can't use your radar at all.
Fixed camera in MGS3 was pretty shit too, although I would argue that it's a lot better than MGS2 due to the areas generally being a lot more open, but either way, they luckily fixed that whole issue in Subsistance. Plus, while the radars in MGS3 were a lot less usefull, you could use them whenever you wanted, even during boss fights.
seriously good job guys, you're really helping with MGS fans having an image of being complete assholes who can't accept any criticism

this is the dumbest fucking thing i've heard in ages. the open areas is precisely what made the top down camera so awful in mgs3. in mgs2 where everything was corridors and significantly sharper graphically you could look forward, see if anyone was there, and make your way to a node to pick up the radar.
[editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
also by thinking mgs2 has a bad plot you've ousted yourself as 100% wrong sorry give up go home
[editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
"im incapable of thinking this is a bad story >:C"
