Gonna be tough in Gastric's case, then.
I remember going back to Animal Crossing on GCN after not playing for a few months.
MOTHERFUCKING
WEEDS.

Yea, I didn't ever play it again.
Months? try nearly a decade :v:
I felt guilty since a ton of people in my town knew that i was gone for a long time.
So I went to GameStop and pre-ordered New Leaf. They only had 2 more preorders left, so I got lucky. He kept pushing the rewards program on me, which reminded me how much of a hassle buying physical games is.
Now my next problem is getting a 3DS.
I havent played this since WW on DS, what's this grass wear thing I see mentioned all over the place and have I missed out on any other new features?

Walking/running over grass causes it to deteriorate over time, and eventually turn into dirt.

I usually try to get the system before I get my games, I think thats the best way to get around to it. Should've gotten the 3DS AC Bundle

Sounds a bit weird, since as far as i know people tend to do a lot of moving around in this game. I assume it takes a long period of time for it to happen and isnt perm

It takes a couple months for it to degrade fully, depending on how often you travel over it, and whether you walk or run over it.
It's also not permanent, but the only way for it to grow back is to not travel over the degraded area at all.
At least you won't have to place a lot of flowers around unless running around is your thing.
I remember not being able to catch certain bugs in City Folk because of the lack of grass I had.
Today I bought a bigger class 10 SD card and $40 of eShop money. I am ready for Sunday.

Yes considering you're the only one that's gonna have it that lives near me and/or are friends with.
I don't know if I would want to show off my designs on a mannequin. Last I checked, I had problems designing a decent clothes pattern. You might be in luck, Gastric.

The 3DS AC bundle actually seems to be the more expensive option than buying them separately.
I don't have the money for a 3DS and AC:NL so I'm settling for AC:CF for Wii since I have a Wii U :v:
I'll be jealous but at least I'll have some Animal Crossing to bring back the gamecube memories.
Anyone live near Nintendo World in New York? They are transforming the store into a mini animal crossing town with gifts for some of the first purchasers. Is there an estimate on the size New Leaf will be? In terms of blocks I mean.

I'm glad I bought a bigger SD card! I have 49,000 blocks left. :)

Three more days for us north murricans. My hypometer is off the goddamn charts.
Anyone else prefer a normal top-down camera scrolling behind the horizon effect?
woo, i got a sporadic babysitting job over the summer
the first thing im getting is a 3ds and this
I WANT TO ANIMAL CROSS SO BAD
I hope the Nintendo themed items (like the Metroid) are given out over the internet, and not an event-only thing.
It might be in a fortune cookie which give you Nintendo themed items. You can get one a day for 2 Play coins.

I miss that and the numeral-character area codes. The scrolling is okay, but the area codes made it more fun to hunt for treasure.
I think Wild World would've run a little better if they kept the top-down camera style.
Would have made it a little more enjoyable.

I have 232668 blocks left at this moment.
Set for life.

DKCR needed 17k, so I've got just enough room left.
I hope that this game will be worth the weight. I am so glad that it is releasing at the beginning of the summer, and the day before I am going to be stuck on a bus for 8 hours. Can't wait!
Is there like, only one track of music for daytime? It sounds to me like there's only one song rather than one for each hour from what I've seen.
In New Leaf?
It's hourly.
Does it all share a basic melody, then? Because again, I've only heard one variant. Maybe I just haven't seen enough videos.

They're certainly not as distinct as the original's. Maybe that's what I didn't like about Wild World's music, but I still think this is a step up from Wild World.
