If you see a villager in re-tail, walk into him to push him to the back of the shop until an exclamation point shows up above his head, then talk to him. He will purchase an item in the back.

Katrina's in my town. Now I have a question: From what I've read, if she is visited 20 times, she will open up a shop on the shopping street. Now does this count towards my town if others visit my town?
