If I was to bug the shit out of the villager who moved in infront of me and they leave, does their house disappear with them?

I really need to draw some Animal Crossing doodles one of these days

Yes.
if you want a villager to move, don't forget that you can also talk to them so many times that they can become annoyed of you. the perfect mixture is hit them with a net, push them into pitfalls, refuse their help/offer, talk to them many times until they ignore you and send them mean letters along with either pitfalls or garbage; in 3 days. i managed to get lopez away from my town doing these things for like 15 minutes a day.
About to buy a dream suite for my village are they any good?
You'd reckon that, since you're the Mayor and all, Isabelle would let you ask where you want new villagers to move in. That'd be a better option rather than letting them build over your paths and flowers and stuff.

I like to think of the title as superficial and they only awarded it to me to make me feel better. The real mayor is Isabelle and everyone snickers about it behind my back and calls me cute for running around and acting important.

A good example of this is the fact that you have to get a petition signed because she "thinks it would be a good idea to notify the other residents".
Except that's bullshit. She's the only one who needs convincing.
Got the Bell Boom ordnance (+20% bells per sale), going to leave my town open throughout the day from now on!

I hate the cow villagers and big clunky looking ones in general. I was pretty psyched up that my villagers are actually looking pretty nice after chasing Bubbles out.
One of my villagers asked me to go to another town to get signatures but it was pretty late so accepted and went to sleep. Next day I didn't realize his form he wanted me to get filled out changed to useless scrap and went to a friends town.
Talked to Vic and was confused when he didn't want to sign it, and instead he asked how happy I am with my current town. I had a feeling he wanted to move in so I told him that I LOVE MY TOWN PLEASE DO NOT COME and he remarked that he wants to visit now.
Please kill me.
They should have made it so that a certain amount of space around your house was off limits for villager building, [sp]or maybe they wanted you to give poor saps that parked their house next to yours the business, and by business, an ass whoopin'. [/sp]
So that goddamn raccoon won't give me my house until morning.
Can I visit someone's town in the meantime?

I would love to leave my town's gates open all night, only all my shops are always closed during the night after 2 am, so I feel visiting my town would be a waste of time (I'm only active and online during the night).

I really don't care about the shops and stuff, I just want to hang out with someone.
There really isn't much to do on your first couple of days of Animal Crossing.

Well feel free to visit if you want. I'll be up for another 30 minutes or so before finally hitting the hay.

Is the max-trees-per-area limit from City Folk still in this game? If so, what's the limit? Because I've been slowly growing a massive rainbow orchard with trees cramped into a grid (one space apart) and not-a-one has failed to mature yet.
If there really is no tree limit whatsoever in this game, this is gonna be nuts. Or rather, fruit.

Is there anything I can do to make them suggest work project more often or is completely random?
I found a theory going around Gamefaq's about that. I tried it a few times, and I did manage to get two villagers approaching me quicker than I had playing normally.
Here's the post about it:
There's a little trick to public works projects. If you go diving for a bit (make a point of catching 2 things while diving, that's usually long enough) and come back, for whatever reason it resets the trigger that causes animals to walk up to you to say something. Animals will only ever give you public works requests when THEY come to YOU, so you can exploit this.
Certain villager personality types give different requests. For example, lazy types give the police station. You only get one public works request a day. So what I do is, I isolate Drago, my lazy villager, by trapping him in a circle of holes. (I love you Drago, I'm sorry, but it's for the good of my town.) I go diving for a little bit, then come back up to where I trapped him and walk by. If he doesn't have anything to say to me, I go back in.
Keep in mind that this trick is only causing ONE particular villager who is outside in the main area to want to come up and talk to you, not always the one you might want. For instance, Klaus might have something to say to me instead of Drago, but i don't really want any public works requests Klaus would give me right now when I'm focused on the police station. If a villager besides the one you want comes up to you, just ignore them and go back into the ocean until your guy wants to talk. If your targeted animal gives you a project and it's not the one you want, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it removes one from the pool of requests they can give you and makes it so the next time you try, things will be easier.
Of course, it feels really weird to exploit game mechanics in a game like this--I don't plan on abusing this too much, I just want the police station very badly. And of course, it's not nearly as useful if you don't know which villager type gives whatever request. But it works--using this trick I've been able to increase how many public works project requests I've gotten; I got two over the last two days when before I only had two requests from villagers after two weeks of playing.

Thanks to Tripp and Kevin (forgot your FP name) for coming over to visit my town. Meanwhile, I'm off to bed.

Also, if anybody wants to join us for island fun, my gates will be opened.
add me, frisk :c
Which makes more sense; having the police station next to the train station or town hall.
= Town Hall

I hate how you have to choose between the characters with the police stations. I want Copper, but the modern station looks like a fuckin trash can.

I would go with Town Hall
So it's past 6 am and I go ahead and check out the Nookling Store's progress before going to bed. Then I see it finished upgrading and is now T&T Mart, but the real shocker is that the store hours have changed.
7am - 5am? Holy fuck YES. Practically a 24 hour store. That's fucking amazing.

This isn't true, it's 5-10 minutes of being outside without going inside that sets it off, it's just like that in the older versions.
Also I've heard non-lazy villagers suggest the police station so it's like some kind of horrible double lie

Which is moreorless being outside for 5-10 minutes without going inside, so it's still true, just not the sole thing that causes it to reset. Either way, it's better than idling for 10 minutes I suppose.
I had a turf war last night, anyone else?

It started when Annalese (or whatever) thought she could get away with hurting my best bros feelings. I was pissed as hell so the next day I tracked her down to have a /talk/ with her.
She then ran to Tex who's been trying to usurp me the whole time. Vlad tagged in to because he wanted to be useful for once in his freakish life.

It broke into a fight, Tex gave me 15 minutes to find and destroy him and his cronies otherwise he'd take over. Thankfully they all just hid around in easy to locate spots. You don't mess with my bro.

With Tex and his cronies defeated they scrambled off in shame and Pete came to have a sick dance party with me the end.

Anyone got a blowdart or an axe in their town?
Is where the gyroid is a good location to put the campsite? I thought I'd make use of that part of town since I never go there. I'm terrible at making these decisions on my own.

I'm planning to go with near the town hall as well, and yeah the modern station looks terrible. It's a good thing I prefer Booker.
is it 10 days after the start of the game that T&T Mart begins production?
