I prefer when they just offer immediately.

I just made plans with Gayle for her to come visit my house.
Since I normally forget about them, I just stayed in my house until then.
Of course, when the time came around, she didn't show up.
I waited around for a minute, then thought I misheard her, so I went to her house.
Then I ran into her on the way there, and she told me she was at my house when I wasn't there.

I guess they don't always get there [I]right[/I] at the specified time.

I bought bamboo from a villager for almost 3000 bells but it wilted, I put it next to the cliff but the cliff used up squares I thought were empty so it didn't have enough space to grow :(

I love how so many people say the club name is stupid and "they should've just kept the cool Japanese name, since '444' is so much cooler". I'mma bout to get [IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/information.png[/IMG] up in this, because I'm tired of everyone being a weeb about it.

In Japanese, "4" is pronounced as "shi", "yon", or shortened to "yo". Dr. Shrunk's Japanese name is Shisho, or ししょー. し = shi, ょー = yo (while しょー becomes sho). He basically named the club his own name, "Shi-Shi-Yo", in a convoluted, awful pun. In fact, while everyone complains that the club has a non-numerical name in other dialog and that it makes the game look "unfinished, as if they changed their minds at the last minute", guess what? It's written "Club Shisho" in the Japanese dialog while the sign is the only place it's ever called "Club 444".

But wait, there's more! Shisho also means "teacher" in Japanese! AND, "shishishi" is one of the ways snooty, uptight characters laugh in Japanese dialog. SO, "club 444" is a triple pun that means Shisho's name, teacher, and laughing all in one.

And here's where the English version starts to make sense. Since they changed his name to Shrunk back in City Folk, they lose out on being able to insert his name into the club pun for the English version. They kept the other two though: English slang doesn't use numbers in puns like the Japanese do, so they picked leetspeak as an equivalent with "LOL" for laughing and "101" for "teacher". Club teacher/shishishi becomes Club 101/LOL. We miss 1/3 of the joke, but hey, at least it makes Dr. Shrunk have less of an ego, especially since K.K. is his main act.

And FYI, "shishishi" is an absolutely obnoxious way to laugh in Japanese. You do that if you're being a total cunt, similar to how you look like an idiot if you say "LOL". Both names are designed to be obnoxious and awful puns. Stop cuddling up to the Japanese version just because it's Japanese; you're a weeaboo.

You can get stung by bees and jelly fish, as well as bitten by mosquitoes. I guess that could be classed as violent.
