I don't know how much you already know about the game, or what you'd consider spoilers, so I'll just give some general ones relating to fishing and bug catching.
-Fishing's easy- Just shut your eyes and wait for the *plop* then hit the a-button, pretty much a no-fail system. It's about 100% more fun to violently mash the a-button, but it's not necessary. :v:
-For the rarer/more easily spooked bugs, pull your net out and just barely nudge the stick forward so you go as slowly as possible, let go of the a-button when you're just outside of the tree's shadow.
-Gyroids appear more frequently when it's rainy.
First and foremost though, have fun. It's not really a game about doing a bunch of stuff really quickly. It's mostly just relaxing, chatting with your villagers and filling up your museum/house.

Oh, also it's all real time, so the start is almost painfully slow. It's pretty easy to time-skip, though it has detriments. If you do so is your choice though.
