What's the best place to find paths anyway? I'm having trouble finding any I like.

God damn I cannot find any Scorpions. I find the rare tarantula after a few hours but then they run into ponds and kill themselves. Does having a perfect town decrease the chances of them spawning? I have a ton of trees and flowers, maybe they need a huge patch of clear ground to spawn or something.

So I'm assuming they don't need much room to spawn.
