I figured as much, but I remember them saying they were keeping the Japanese holidays in the English version.
I figured as much, but I remember them saying they were keeping the Japanese holidays in the English version.
They are still in the game, as in you can participate in them if you visit a Japanese town.
Yes. But the way they mentioned made it seem as if people from other regions could celebrate them on their own. [editline]7th July 2013[/editline] Ok nevermind, I misread the Iwata Asks that mentioned foreign customs.
i've got 3 goats in my town now :J
Which of you lovely people would like to make a donation to my cafe?
i've got 3 goats in my town now :J
I have 2 wolves (male & female) and 2 squirrels (male & female)
Question, i suddenly see this game everywhere and so far what i can make out of it you are a person that has to run the town, what are the main points that make this game so addictive as most people claim that it is? Just curious :v:

Just curious :v:
It will bring out the interior designer in you. It will bring out the corporate stock broker in you. It will bring out the city-planner in you. It will bring out the clothing designer in you. It will bring out the cross-dresser in you. It will bring out the hunter in you. It will bring out the deliveryman in you. It will bring out the archeologist in you.
Mostly the cross-dresser.
It pretty much replaces your real life by a digital life in a town full of animals where half of them want to sexually harras you
so, new leaf, is it worth it? I might have to buy a 3DS for it if i can't use my brothers. The only other one i've played is Animal Crossing for GC.
Anybody have some neat-o path designs? Also has anybody made any paths that match the dirt?
Mostly the cross-dresser.
Damn right.
Is it possible for someone to make a sort of list of things to do in-game? Like can you make stuff yourself? Can you visit other people? Its sort of hard to find any video/site that explains what is exactly is. I am sort of thinking of getting a 3DS for Super Smash and this game.

You'll need to catch fish and bugs, sell them to a store for bells (money) so you can afford additional rooms in your house. Over the course of playing you'll unlock more features in the game, such as a tropical island where you can catch exotic bugs and fish that sell for a lot of bells. On top of that you can play a ton of minigames on the island that earn you medals, which are used to buy exclusive tropical items that are for sale on the island. You'll unlock additional stores where you can buy more items. Maybe collecting is your thing? There's a museum where you can donate bugs, fish, fossils and artworks so other players can see how good of a collector you are! Try to get a full catalog of furniture so you can decorate your house in many different styles?

Here's the first episode:
Spotpass and Streetpass are the most stupid fucking forced features I've ever seen on a console. They're forced because you can't use 3ds friends or anything internet related without having those two online as well, so dumb I'm actually considering taking my 3ds back.
What? Streetpass is the name for local communications, Spotpass is internet. They're literally just names.
But. There's no downside to having them on.
Except for it downloading custom content from people you don't give a fuck about and communicating and sharing content with other nearby 3ds'.
Pretty sure you can disable streetpass and spotpass features in games
Except for it downloading custom content from people you don't give a fuck about and communicating and sharing content with other nearby 3ds'.
Go to settings and deactivate Streetpass for all your games.
Has anyone who's got the EU version of the game actually received a home in the HHA via Spotpass yet? I know NA got Reggie but my place is just empty. :x On another note, my animals seem so lecherous: Ankha always wants to visit my house or vice versa.
None of my games or applications show up there, I don't understand why you can't just disable the ability to communicate locally entirely?
I still don't see why you are so incredible butt hurt about it. Its a feature that is build into the thing and you are the first one to complain about it.
I can't believe this game has a fart noise in it. All of my villagers (except Pierce) are dull.
None of my games or applications show up there, I don't understand why you can't just disable the ability to communicate locally entirely?
The only thing it'll be communicating is Mii Plaza, if that. If it bothers you that much, trade it for a Vita. Anyone have any backwards hats and cargo shorts? It's for a good cause, promise.
