How many trees should you keep on either side? I got rid of all of them except two, one on each side.

They're nookling spotlight exclusives, and they're not often seen up for sale. The one Kabuki gave me (7) is the rarest, and counts as a lucky item when displayed.
Basically, he gave me one of the rarest spotlight items for a favor, which will make me luckier just by showing it off.

Perfect fruit grows randomly on native fruit trees. It's worth a lot more than normal fruit.
Turnips can be bought for cheap, and sold for a lot more than you bought them for. However, their price changes every day. It's essentially a gamble to see when you can get the highest sell price for them.
Money trees can only be made with the Golden Shovel. I don't know if they're the same as they were in City Folk, but if they are, they're not worth your time.
Golden Stags can only be found on the Island at night.
