Animal Crossing Megathread - Games

Lookin' for peaches, y'all. I only have Apples, nothing really of value so far. I planted some oranges, so those will sprout soon. I also have the Mario Kart item, I'm looking for the Yoshi egg, so I'm willing to trade for that if anyone got it.

Everything I'm hearing and seeing about New Leaf makes me sad that I have a Vita instead of a 3DS.

Could anyone tell me how to get the damn watering can? Also I need more tips on how to improve my mayor rate because I'm stuck at 28% and I've been playing for hours hehe Thanks!

I spent a while just walking around, messing with the town tune, chatting with everyone and got it up to 49% in no time at all.

I have a few noob questions for you AC New Leaf players: 1) How long is it for fruit regrow? And how long for seasheels respawn? Any idea? 2) Me and my gf are playing on the same 3DS she bought the shovel and the fish pole but now it says "Sold" where they used to be, how can I buy some for myself? Will they become available again by tomorrow? 3) I heard that there's special item for mario kart owners, how do I get it? 4) Any good tips for a new mayor and new AC player altogether? [/QUOTE] i only have played the original GC version of animal crossing way back, but to my knowledge... 1) if it's your native fruit (what you started with) it respawns every day. If you imported the fruit, it's every 3 days. You can make non-native fruit trees by digging a hole with a shovel, and burying the fruit in the hole. Seashells should be every day as well. 2) Shops restock every day, and they rarely have the same items every day, although their stock is shared between characters. You'll have to wait for a little while until you can get one, or she can send you the shovel in the mail when she's done playing, and you can do the same. edit: In the GC version you bought everything from tom nook, and could ask him to look at your "catalog" of bought goods. From the catalog menu you could back-order anything you've previously purchased, although it might cost a little more. New leaf should have a similar feature somewhere, so ask to see the catalog and buy another shovel on her character, and tomorrow(?) you should get a shovel in the mail in her mailbox. 3)... 4) Try and get non-native fruit as it sells for more at stores. I've heard there's "perfect fruit" in New leaf now, so I suggest you try and bury only perfect non-native fruit instead. relax, have fun, explore, etc. unless they removed it, every day there will be a [sp]glowing rock[/sp] that you can hit with a shovel multiple times to get [sp]bells (aka money)[/sp].

The rock doesn't glow anymore, you'll have to just guess to find it.
