So today I discovered something that completely and utterly horrified me.
Back in my Wild World, around the time I was always on Animal Crossing Community, one of my buddies from there had Snake the rabbit move from his town to mine.
That being the first time I ever saw Snake, I didn't see anything wrong with the fact that he was a female villager with a peppy personality.
I had Snake in my town for around a year before I hadn't played for around a month and (s)he moved away.
Fast forward to earlier today where I was working in the Cafe, and Snake came in (he doesn't live in my town, it was a random visit). Boy was I surprised to find out that Snake was a boy, not a girl.
I figured maybe it was a glitch in New Leaf or they retconned Snake to be a boy in it. I checked the AC Wiki and found out that Snake has been a boy since the original Animal Crossing.
What.

I can't be the only one who will probably not mess with paths just because of how unpredictable the plot-selecting algorithm is when villagers move in.
Having a major town artery totally cut off by a newcomer sounds like it's awful. Why would I risk that when I can just use walls of trees and bushes to naturally guide visitors? It looks nicer too.

I'm not using paths, but I'm not letting my neighbors move anymore. The trees and bushes in my town are sort of an important part of the town's structure, and I don't want anyone fucking it up.
Does anyone know if items that don't appear inside the Nookling catalog (balloons, tools, and art for example) still count towards catalog percentage on the badge?

I'm using paths, mostly because I love my grass but also because it gives me more customization options with my town, lets me give certain areas more character or a different atmosphere than others, etc.
Welp, Club LOL has gotten its signatures so it'll be coming in 5 days. Museum Shop comes in tomorrow, and Shampoodle should be under construction in 10 days. Things are progressing nicely :v:
