If they are digital games then you have to download them from the eShop and launch them once and they should show up.
If its physical games you should have a red booklet with a gift icon on, that's the code you enter.
Also makes sure you do the surveys beside the game name if it shows up on club nintendo or your games don't count towards the 'so many games' promotion.
