Animal Crossing Megathread - Games

I just bought the game. It will be my first time playing Animal Crossing. But seeing how fast this thread goes it must be a good game.

I need to get home from work so I can play, all my shops were closed when I played last night so couldn't do shit :(

The cruelest and most harsh of punishments. According to my tracking numbers, my 3DS should be arriving today. The games, however, are coming on the 18th and 19th, despite the fact that I ordered everything at the same time, in the same cart, [i]and[/i] an email saying Animal Crossing shipped before my 3DS. So today I'll be getting a 3DS with no games. Surely I have done nothing to deserve this punishment.

Well, I got my game today... but my 3ds is at home and I don't go back for another 16 days. I think I can get my mum to post it to me but I am tempted to start my game on my boyfriend's 3ds. Will this cause any problems? I assume the game is all saved to the card rather than the ds/sd card but I wanted to check. Other than the fortune cookie coins, is there anything else I may be missing out on by not waiting for my own ds? I heard that the rainbow screen is not stored on the game card and I should not get that until I am on my own ds. How do I get it, and is it possible to not get it for a few days? :)

Is there a trick to getting snails? Right now it's raining in my town and I've checked every flower, but I've found no snails.

Does anyone have an Animal Crossing New Leaf code I could have? I can only pay for it next week, and I really don't want to wait a week to play it.

Aw shucks, just found out how long I have to wait before being able to use QR codes. (And I don't feel like changing the clock). At least I have a skirt now, and the animations are utterly fabulous / hilarious.
