How many "Best Friends" can you have? I would register everyone I meet as best friends, but I'm worried about running out of space really quickly on the list.

Today I learned the universe is a heartless host. My beautiful new 3DS is currently cradled in my hands with naught a game to play on her. 4 more days minimum is the time I must wait for Animal Crossing. But I shall prevail.
