Played this game for about 2 hours yesterday in between classes. Have yet to get to nighttime(I'm too scared haha). This game is really fun. Still trying to tweak my graphics settings. I run at 60fps and sometimes it will drop for a few seconds randomly for no reason.
^Yeah everyone seems to be experiencing this. Hopefully a patch will come soon. Also, you're right, night time is terrifying. Found myself shouting at my screen whilst checking my door at the same time.
Anyone got his key from gamers-outlet? They apparently sell region free gifts for around 30€, not sure if I should risk it. [editline]29th January 2015[/editline] Also: Im located in germany and the game is not for sale here. Will probably get a censored release later on. Anyone with the same story? Cant edit, no idea why
I did. I am in Germany aswell. Activated as RU+CIS, but I can play it fine.
I defended some guy that said he (side quest spoiler) [sp] was a "licken-thrope" and he wanted garlic, wolfsbane, and cinnamon to cure himself. He also believed nosferatu was real and that someone in the safezone was a ghoul. [/sp] Made me laugh, so far the funniest things someone has said in my game.

Performance is awful and it's unacceptable that they even released the game in its current state. I play on 65 FPS for a bit and then suddenly it drops to 8-12 FPS repeatedly. Such a shame, the game plays really well and I really dig the 'parkour' system.
This game is so great!, the free running starts slow but as you progress and unlock the better skills (Sliding, Tic Tac etc ) It feels more smooth, fluid like mirrors edge and i LOVE THAT also melee is really weighty when you hit a zombie rather than your weapon going trough its body like nothing they stop where the hit is done and apply a physical impulse into the body, its really nice
Seeing as there is no official thread I might as well mention this here I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but if you select a quest and then quit to the main menu you should end up where the objective is when you go back to the game.

Like scaling a wall,+3, jump from roof to roof, +6, jump off roof safely, +10, so on so on. The game is really fucking fun. Best 60$ I've spent in a really good while. Wish that the performance would be checked over, but I'm sure they'll figure something out, hopefully soon since I'm at work for the next.. oohhh four or so hours, so.. here's hoping it'll have a patch out when I'm home, aye? [sp]Thats heartbreakingly unlikely, but I like to keep my naive hopes up.[/sp]

Well hell someone really needs to make a megathread because this game is surprisingly amazing.
Right around mid game when you reach old town regular slow zombies start to develop explosive boils that explode and alert fresh infected. So next time you use a molotov on a crowd, keep your distance cause it will set off a train reaction of puss spewing explosive goodness. Also, a place that is worthy of exploration is the very end of the bridge across the gap. There is a row of medical tents set up to process survivors leaving the bridge. It harbors TONS of gauze and medkit bundles, along with 3 or 4 police vans and 2 hard lock chests you can loot for some good shit. I make a trip there everyday so I don't have to waste my supplies making medkits, cause I usually leave with 10 - 15 more than I had before going.

Enjoying co-op with this, especially with mics. Thought it would make the experience much less tenser but I love it. Last time I played a horror game co-op was Dead Space 3 and it was boring, although it wasn't the greatest of games.
Nighttime in coop is fantastic, sneaking around as a group of 4 is a bit harder than sneaking around on your own. Luckily, if you buddy gets spotted by volatiles, they don't magically know where you are, and you can sacrifice your friends to stay alive. Overall the game feels and plays really well, definitely the best game to have come out for a while now.
Well hell someone really needs to make a megathread because this game is surprisingly amazing.
fuck it, this should just become the thread for it, and any future techland games like dead island 2 and hellraid. i guess di and riptide should be included as well. someone pm a mod for title change? whenever the fuck hellraid releases, that is. edit: oh wait, apparently techland didn't develop DI2. call of juarez, anyone?

One of the annoying things in this game imo is the inability to repair weapons. Sure you can repair them when the condition gets low, but eventually you aren't able to anymore. Really annoying when you ugprade a weapon and need to throw it away later

Have some fun with the weapons you currently have, you'll come across something better eventually.

And with the skill perk most weapons have 5-6 repair worth.
changing textures to medium got rid of this very issue for me. ram now stays around 6gb instead of trying to use all my 9 and then some
That solved it. Difference like between night and day. Seems the devs didn't do their homework. Still really hope they fix that shit so I can play with higher res textures.

I wish I could find this somewhere where it costs like 30 - 35€ and where they don't throw on 25% VAT Tax after you go through the entire process of purchase before confirmation. Went from 32€ to 41€ on Fast2Play/Kinguin, wish I had that cash to spend but, well, I don't. The game seems fun as hell too.
Is anybody else having problems with the cutscenes? my in-game performance is fine on high settings but as soon as a cutscene starts it tanks to a 1fps slideshow and only recovers after its already nearly finished
Game wont even launch for me, can't find anyone with the same problem on google/forums/etc.
