same here, though i think it's much more fun for the game to not be incredibly one-sided like fighting games usually become when i play with my friends
I get pretty embarrassed when I get absolutely dunked by a new person, I'm the only one that actually goes into practice and learns the moves :v: [editline]7th July 2014[/editline] If anyone wants to watch someone that's pretty good at the game, this guy is good to watch. Some good Evo footage on twitch here: http://www.twitch.tv/numakie/b/549179196
Good to see this thread is somewhat back. If anyone wants to play some matches, I'd be happy to. PSN: ProfessorAssHat
I might play a little bit when I get home from work in like... 9 hours.
I'll have a game with you, one sec I'll add you.
Sure thing. My little brothers are on the PS3 at the moment so I'll accept your friend request once I'm on.
Well I just tried to play a online match, had two bars (ping bars I assume) and god the lag is unbearable. I'm on Dio's Mansion and I have a cord this is just silly
oh hey this thread is back, I totally forgot about it.
I was in the Skype ASB group while this was going on and everyone agreed that all the competitors in this tourney were horrifically bad at the game and that almost any one of them could body the entire thing. A shame they didn't though, the best player in the group is actually friends with Louffy, who won the USF4 tourney.
Yeah it's kinda cringwrothy when the commentator had to tell them to do things. [editline]25th July 2014[/editline] I'm gonna have to call it a night. it was fun playing but god the lag is just horribad, I don't know if I'll play much online in the future.
I really wish the netcode in this wasn't ass, I can't fucking win any fights if my inputs don't work right half the time.
I really wish the netcode in this wasn't ass, I can't fucking win any fights if my inputs don't work right half the time.
CC2 can't work netcode for shit. Naruto Storm 3's was less trash than All Star Battle's, but it was still trash.

I'm having really mixed feelings about this game. On one hand, it pulls off the style of the manga incredibly well and each character feels really unique. On the other hand, the game feels a bit slow at times, the stick movements require stupid amounts of precision, and locking away nine characters as DLC even though they're clearly on the disc is fucking bullshit.

That's the best way to describe it.
It upsets me because I love how different each of the characters feel, and it really makes me want to get Old Joseph, Kira, and maybe a couple others, but the fact that I have to buy them even though they're already in the fucking game to begin with just pisses me off. Also, I hate how PSN now basically works like the Microsoft Points system, only allowing me to put certain amounts of money into my wallet, rather than the exact amount I need. Fuck that, I don't want to spend any more than I have to.
Unless it's under 5$, you can just add stuff to your cart, then you should be able to add the exact amount you need during check-out.

also compared to some fighting game dlc (fuck you blazblue one character is not worth 9 dollars!!!) they're really cheap.
Just unlocked all of the characters besides the DLC ones. I am digging Part 1 Dio's and Kosaku's Playstyles. One quick question, what places are they on the tier list? I can feel that Phantom Blood Dio is a solid Mid-High while i am wondering how good Kosaku kira is on the tiers. (If there is a tier list on this game) Also: My Dio can get my brother pissed off to the point he has to play as Josuke. Stingy Eyes 2 stronk for Crazy Diamond
PB Dio is high while Kosaku is low.
Thanks. Do you have a link to the tier list, by any chance?
Thanks. Do you have a link to the tier list, by any chance?
it's in the OP
I'm interested in getting this but I'm pretty trash at fighting games. How does it handle compared to others? My experience is primarily with Soul Calibur and some Street Fighter. [editline]26th September 2014[/editline] If I get it I want to main Old Joseph obviously

There's some cool shit you can pull off here and there, but it's no where near as complex as something like Street Fighter. As a fighting game it's meh, as a JoJo's game it's fantastic.

You can either do the button combos for the supers and grabs, or just press the single assigned buttons for each one. Plus, you can just mash light attack to do a basic preset combo. On another note, does anybody else see Old Joseph's moveset and think "wow, why couldn't he be this cool in the manga/anime"? That super is badass as hell.
