Sub-40 guns are great if you put them with a dodge build based around crits and penetration. That's what I do with SMGs. Otherwise I tend to be wary about them. I notice my ammo counter going down too fast for my liking.
Sub-40 guns have their use. Primary assault rifles should never be sub-40 I'd say. I don't mind the SMGs sitting at 30 damage (since it's a secondary weapon with tons of ammo), but other weapons just don't have the stats to warrant their low damage.
So with these new attachments my Saw / MP5 suitforcer build works stupidly well. Saw a guy, then kill an entire room in two seconds because of buffs.
I don't really worry that much about trying to powergame and completely optimize my guns. I more or less use the the AMR because it looks cool with the attachments I like to use, same story for the Sig pistol whos name I can't remember. Then again I'm not the HOXOUT 5 MINS NO DOWNS NO DAMAGE type so it might not even be necessary for me since I mostly play with a group who struggles to get the cars through the tunnel on the car shop heist.

Also, I really wish the RPG could be equipped as a primary for the novelty of playing RPG/SMG.
Coyoteze can you tell your coworkers to add math ceiling to (real) damage numbers so it rounds them to what the stats actually say? Or to the skills that add damage.
Scrubs, I'll stick to my 36 dmg 14 acc JP36. Ya'll niggas can't even handle me right now. [editline]20th March 2015[/editline] JP36 and Compact-5 = Ammo 4 Days.
Also I just got a LMG and ran a few heists with it, and hoo boy is it a fun time
I play loads of games with you fellow Facepunchers and everything goes great most of the time. I play one single game of Cook Off because of no one from the FP PD2 group joining my other games. I play it with pubs. Levels 60something, 50something and 40something. Non-infamied. They blew up the fucking lab on the very first ingredient. It would have been excusable if Bain said complicated shit like "The website says chloride soda hydrogen mix. I don't know, try something.". But the line was "Mu-muriatic acid. Get some and pour it in there.". Remind me to never play anything without you guys ever again.
DW truly is hell
Also I just got a LMG and ran a few heists with it, and hoo boy is it a fun time
You can crunch numbers all you like, talk about breakpoints and DPS to Ammo ratio's, you can plan how each and every bullet is likely to end up in someones skull but at the end of the day... You can neva 'ave enuff Dakka!
but what if I can make my RPK not have tons of recoil, pack a wicked punch, AND be accurate all at the same time?
Yeah but there comes a point where it comes back to diminishing returns, difficulty selected, skills involved, player skill, and all other tiny variables. I won't pretend my JP36 is some godtier DW weapon, but it does great on OVK and is fun for me. But my main skill profile is an enforcer and so it gets a good chunk of spare ammo and tons of pick up rate with a decent punch to boot. I know that for other builds, this weapon might not be that fun. [editline]20th March 2015[/editline]
cool, loading up a bank heist lobby crashes my game, it used to be just the turrets that crashed me. wonderful, not even using any mods either
Verify yo cache my nigga. If you got that LUA loading dll for mods, remove it too.
Still no love for the G36 tho :( At least I can fire with ridiculous stability that it doesnt even move the gun

I was having a surprising amount of fun with the grenade launcher on Cook Off today. That little thing is a lot more efficient than you'd think, and keeping up with ammo for it isn't much of a problem at all-- especially if you're an enforcer and have the increased ammo capacity and ammo pickup perks.
An MG36 variant would be orgasmic
But I still haven't Infamy'd. I just wanna grind Cook Off. I joined the Facepunch Payday 2 group, so hopefully I can join up with some of you later.

Infact this is how ammo works, its a recent change and it makes ammo hungry weapons far less hungry if you do it right.
AFAIK all the enforcer ammo skill does for the GL is give it one more grenade starting out
Yeah but he also said ammo pick up perk, so I assume he means the enforcer one. I'm not sure how much it helps with picking up nades for it though.
killing a solo shadow raid run by falling down a ladder is crushing
killing a solo shadow raid run by falling down a ladder is crushing
That is why you need a helper. He literally sits there until you die and he helps you. :v:
Yeah but he also said ammo pick up perk, so I assume he means the enforcer one. I think the skill marginally increases the chance of getting a nade if your secondary is not full, but that the increase is trivial at best.
killing a solo shadow raid run by falling down a ladder is crushing
I was playing deathwish shadow raid with a friend of mine earlier to see how far we could get as we've never really done the map before beyond getting bodybags when better stealthing friends were playing the maps with us around. We got 12 or 13 bags when I had to get another friend to join just to get me a medkit because I was black and white from falling damage. Unfortunately for me, I can't blame ladders. I just kept falling off things. I'm amazed I wasn't caught with the amount of time I was on the ground out in the open.
Just got Firestarter's magazine achieve plus sidejob as a fughost. Man, that is a varied mission- first you have a remote area, then the FBI building, and then a bank. The worst part was the two turrets that appeared on Bank and would've ruined our fun if sitting inside didn't mitigate them entirely. I think they halved the health on it, but what they should do is fix the front armor problem as well (as in, it's way too hard to shoot that off).

Cause that'd make it even easier to fill my secondary slot with it
