GenSec Elites/SWAT is pretty damn stupid in the first place. Way back before a new difficulty was on the table, I was suggesting how the new tier of enemy should have been Murkywater, seeing as how we encountered them in Slaughterhouse, and they should have been out for our blood after ambushing their convoy. Overkill really missed a good opportunity for a unique enemy when all they did was reskin FBI SWAT with an urban camo, and slap a few GenSec logos on them.
What's even more damn offensive is that Murkywater in the game actually have a unique look, and appear like intimidating enemies to face, whereas GenSec elites don't.
Still, I suppose it probably wouldn't have helped with the fact Death Wish would have still been lame, what with the bullet sponge and high damage.

They're primary weapons you need to buy in your inventory.

Why do SMGs have so little ammo? And why are akimbos primary weapons only? I think that the aced version of the akimbo skill should let you use them as secondaries.

To balance them against pistols, I think. The big advantage pistols have over SMGs is their larger ammo reserves, if SMGs had similar ammo pools, there'd be no point investing into the Mastermind's pistol skills.
