[sp]Remember the conclusion to the PD2 secret? Bain made a comment in the secret group around that time of "we're going to fence this valuable gold to senor Hector." I assume he was partly involved in PD:TH, but not entirely. Perhaps it was him who helped get the crew into DC?[/sp]
[sp]Also the fact that after Rats or Watchdogs, Bain comments that they "finally repayed Hector," which definitely hints that they knew Hector before Payday 2.[/sp]
shoulda been alex

I think the biggest issue besides story is just while a very fun and solid heist, it doesn't feel that special in terms of what you do. Hotline had two days, attack helicopters, unique focus on high speed combat and destruction with a good sprinkle of cinematic parts. Big Bank was well, a huge fucking bank. But this heist at least on loud boils down to drilling it, killing the rat and then leaving with a few bags. Its really simple and while a fun heist, just doesn't feel like a big thing. Like that was it, 10 minutes and we're done.
Also... sometimes the house breaks the AI, the hardest part outside of the billion snipers was walking into a room and there is like fifteen enemies just not moving, then their AI turns on.
yeah i've seen the cops just walk into the room and face the wall and do nothing. Shitloads of snipers, two unavoidable turrets, overly complex house layout and tight corridors make shields an unpenetrable obstacle even with iron man aced. Fucking perfect.
[sp]Hector's Colombian, not Mexican.[/sp]
Oops.

the swat van in front of the house is bullshit and not fair
They really need to nerf snipers and turrets.

[sp]I can't believe it's Hector, I actually really liked Hector, Watch Dogs is one of my favorite heists in the game. Of all the contractors they had to choose, it had to be Hector, and not that fucking cunt The Elephant, I would have been thrilled if it was him.[/sp] Other than that, I guess it's not a bad heist. Certainly better than the Car Shop mess. I'll have to try it in stealth next time though, then I can judge the level design better.

Fucking perfect.
What difficulty did you play on? I just did it on Overkill and there's only two sniper spots where they can target you while in the drilling room and there was only one turret which was easily avoided while inside (Not so much while getting to the escape, we had to have three players trying to take the turret's attention while on the balcony and the fourth dude throwing the bags in which was actually pretty fun, this was the first time I've felt the turret was a neat addition). Shields are awful though, if you're not using a HE rounds shotgun, the GL40 or a sniper rifle, you're gonna have a bad time.
Everyone hating on the Elephant, and here am I, sitting in a pile of easy money and experience by barely doing nothing while playing Election Day and Big Oil.
[sp]How does Hector make any sense at all? I honestly would have preferred our driver cheating us over again. Imagine how pissed off he must be after we left him behind so many times after he crashed the van.[/sp]
[sp]HUH BAIN " contact with the contacts and the crew is carefully managed to ensure minimum risk to all parties." GOOD JOB REAL GOOD JOB HOW THE HELL DO YOU SCREW UP SO BAD A SINGLE CONTRACT KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE [/sp]
That was really dissapointing
you really should start expecting disappointment when it comes to payday 2
[sp]hector is my favorite contracter and firestarter my favorite heist. god damnit.[/sp] gonna stealth it this time.
[sp]Firestarter is such a weird heist, I love it because it's a great multi-day loud heist, but I hate it because pubs always, always insist on stealthing days 2 and 3. And every single time, they fuck up Day 2, and every single time, they either fuck up Day 3 or it ends up boring as shit just like every time you stealth Bank Heist. Just stop fucking trying to stealth it, you want to stealth, go stealth Bank Heist or Shadow Raid or Election Day or whatever, leave Firestarter alone.[/sp]

Awesome, short heist. And that twist at the end! Thinking on it, them being the traitor makes a lot of sense. I dig the heist. Gives another option to the usual: Shooting things, or getting sneaky.
So guys on a lighter note, this update was 1.2GB and I am not convinced it was mostly this heist alone. How about we do some data-mining and dig up juice?
thought it was a good heist, can understand why most would be underwhelmed by it tho the fact that this was initially going to be the day 3 of hoxton breakout makes sense why its not the grandest of heists
I can't remember exactly what but I'm pretty sure Bain said "You're ride is here" or something like that (or you know that was written it the captions). Grammar nazi incoming, but shouldn't it be "Your ride"?

So far, there's more PDTH related stuff.
There's also several tapes around house to play, it was quite hard to make anything out during a firefight but i take [sp]hector wasn't really in good terms with FBI either[/sp]
How long is the new heist? Just a single day? [sp]Also the traitor should've been Elephant, it'd make more sense that a senator contacting/working with the FBI instead of a cartel leader.[/sp]

He seems to be the "exception to the rule," and it also explains why after doing his 3 heists and "paying him back" why they don't do any more heists for him.[/sp]
Just did it on overkill, quite annoying with the snipers. Though paying 3.1 mill offshore and only getting back like 2.6 or 2.9, don't remember which, when picking up all extra bags. XP is shit too, how is this supposed to be worth it at all?
Amazing, the entire level made out of every awful designers choice in the game. Snipers spam, enemies spawn literally in front of you, 2 FUCKING SENTRY GUNS at close range. And you MUST steal bags of loot when the heist clearly not about bags and robbery. OVK, plz.
